4 for noon time breakfast, Saturday Nov. 29. 2 breakfast burritos, eggs benedict and an egg scramble. The wait staff was great, attentive and knowledgeable. We all commented that our breakfasts could have had more flavor. Bland, drippy and not coming back/would rather try somewhere else. Not very busy when we were there. Sorry.

We actually intended to eat breakfast just a few doors down from The Hungry Monkey but the queue was too long, this place was a little less busy (but still popular for Sunday breakfasts for sure!). Between us we sampled a fair bit of the menu and were delighted, a very tasty breakfast indeed and happy that we ended up... More

I loved the chorizo omelet! The decor is funky and welcoming! The coffee keeps coming and unwilling not leave hungry.

Honestly, I prefer some of the other breakfast shops better, but at the same time, if the wait appears too long, I will check the Hungry Monkey to see if there is a table available. That being said, my girlfriend prefers it over one or two of my favorites.

Ok, the first time was with a business partner before heading over to NIBS, but the breakfast we had was so good that I knew my wife would appreciate it the next day when she arrived, so I ended up there again. Honestly the food is excellent and breakfast food is my favorite meal. In reality, I think breakfast food... More

I went to the Hungry Monkey when I was in Newport for business last week, and the whole experience was entertaining and fun! I went around 9:30am on a weekday and they were still fairly busy. My server was extremely attentive and my order was ready before I knew it. I ordered the daily special "bacon pancakes" with the eggs... More

Something about the Hungry Monkey seems a throwback to the 1960s but in a good way. Its excellent breakfast menu--some of it written in chalk on the back wall--is always appealing and delicious. The place is packed and my favorite seat is at the counter. Like a number of Newport breakfast places the Hungry Money features Portuguese influenced food. Pictures... More

We visited The Hungry Monkey for breakfast. The food was ok but the poached eggs had dried out and the home fries were bland. The fruit salad was basic, melon and pineapple with half a strawberry, no blueberries or raspberries. The staff were professional. The menu said no substitutions. Overall ok but the food was not the best and the... More

really cute place to stop and enjoy breakfast. the food was delicious and the owner was funny and made jokes. She asked people to move over, so that my friends and I could sit together in a group-which was really sweet. thanks!
