Food is amazing. Lunch specials are good portions for equally good prices. Great raw bar deals as well. You can even sit "outdoors" without being in a wind tunnel. Would definitely recommend.

We always make sure to eat breakfast at Benjamin's at least once during our trips to Newport. Good old-fashioned classics done right. The service is always good, the portions are generous and the prices are reasonable, especially for Newport.

Stopped here for dinner on a vacation. We ordered two fried dinners, one shrimp, and one scallop. Both were very generous and cooked to perfection. Large tiger shrimp, and sea scallops. Service was very good, although the bus boy seemed anxious to clear the table, even though the place was only half full on a Tuesday night. Would defiantly return.Very... More

Sitting for over an hour for breakfast and still not served. EGGS. How long should this take? Numerous tables arriving after us served and finished. Strongly advise against trying this place. Wait staff poor and unfriendly. We has to walk out without being served.

We checked tripadvisor and yelp prior to our vacation to Newport, Rhode island to look for good restaurants to try since we heard Newport is THE place to go for fresh seafood. Benjamin's came up highly recommended for a more casual atmosphere, medium budget, seafood meal. and it did not disappoint AT ALL. We sat on the second floor terrace... More

When a previous favorite restaurant in Newport, Salas's, closed down, Tom and I began the search for a new fave. We sail into Newport a few times a season and love to dinghy to shore for a nice, hot dinner after a day on the water. On one of our first trips to the City By The Sea after Salas's... More

Stopped at Benjamins after reading the outside menu and talking to a gentleman that had just eaten there and said the food was terrific. Decided to give it a try and it did NOT disappoint. we ate upstairs on the outdoor deck and have to agree with another review that the woodwork looks like that on a yacht. I ordered... More
