Great restaurant

I was in Newport during the frigid sub zero weather in February. We stopped to get out of the cold and enjoy an early dinner. The food was great, the restaurant could have been warmer, but maybe not:-(

My first response when I found Benjamin's a solid year and a half ago was to believe that it was like every other overpriced tourist trap in Newport. It was close to shopping and we were hungry, so we took a chance on it. It was really a great surprise. What made this experience different from my visits to other... More

Stopped in on a Friday night while on a weekend trip to Newport. The bartender came right over. The draft beer list is small and is not that interesting- Guinness, Bluemoon, Stella, Yeungling, etc. We ordered a dozen blue point oysters which were fresh and delicious. A couple sitting near us at the bar ordered a seafood platter that includes... More

My father & I were 'infrequent-regulars' @ Benjamin's... as he truly-adored their bowl of "fresh-mussels". And my mother & I went there a couple of times as well... & always 'loved it'! But that was 'Upstairs'... for 'dinner'... with a relaxing-atmosphere + decent-view of Newport harbor. That said, my last time there was 'in the summer'... for 'breakfast' with a... More

Lobster, oysters and Old Fashioneds! Had a great dinner with family. Started off with the oysters and steamers. Great value and fresh! Next was a table sharing assortment of lobsters, clams, and oysters. Individual dinners that we all shared. The service was attentive and prompt The drinks were outstanding.

This restaurant is one of our favorites! We come to Newport every year on vacation, and we visit this restaurant several times on our trip. The food is exceptional, the wait staff is wonderful! You can find everything on their menu from simple apps to great dinners; and let me tell you, the lobster roll is the best! Please do... More

Benjamins was a great place for us to have our morning class. They had the upstairs of the restaurant set up for us, great service and very good breakfast food at fair prices. My serving of hash browns was a bit on the small side, but otherwise it was a nice breakfast. They were also quick to refill the coffee... More
