Visited on 1/2/15 at just the right time...happy hour ...$1.00 oysters and clams! The New England clam chowder was excellent, as was the Seafood Mac & Cheese. Excellent service....loved the atmosphere.....had a wonderful dining experience! A must visit while in Newport!

We waited 30 minutes for waitress to take order. Food was delivered by someone else. Not sure if we should have received bread or salad. Never did receive appetizer and had it removed from Bill. Had to ask busboy for glasses of water. It was a weeknight and not a holiday so not too busy. Food was okay but not... More

If you do there will no room left for me! Benjamin's is basically a pub with really good seafood right across the street from the marina. Chorizo Stuffed Quahogs were my favorite but they have a sort of happy hour starting at noon with dirt cheap clams, oysters and shrimp. We're talking good, fresh raw bar and delicious hot items.... This place was recommended to us, not knowing the area, we went for it. The food was good but they don't have many choices for sides. Asparagus, mashed potatoes and rice were it. They might offered french fries too. The salad was big and hearty. The service was ok. Since it was early on New Year's Eve, the place wasn't... More

We ate there for dinner last weekend after leaving another restaurant in town. We had a very nice couples dinner without children running through the restaurant unlike the restaurant we had walked out of. We ate on the deck part of the dining room. The heaters kept us feeling warm. The atmosphere in the dining room was very comfortable and... More

Wanted to have a nice lunch with my wife on New Year's Day . We were seated, waited 25 minutes, not even a glass of water. Then we walked out to go someplace else.. Hope the food is better than the service

Had breakfast here which was good though could have been hotter, but were impressed by the cleanliness, excellent service anfd hard working folks who were setting up an immaculate raw bar. Examined the taps and decided to come back that evening to try them out. Found both great local and farther reaching options, the bartenders quick to help and chat,... More

My husband and I love to go here on Tuesdays and get $1 oysters and 50 cent little neck clams. The shucker at the bar is also a competitor so they are shucked perfectly and clean. Beer is cold here and lots of decks to sit on when weather is nice.
