We went to Benjamin's for the first time and had the early special which, on that night was Prime Rib which is my husband's favorite. When it arrived at our table it was HUGE! It was, according to my very choosy husband, the best prime rib he had ever eaten. It was absolutely huge and covered the entire plate and... More

We stopped here for lunch today. Nice atmosphere and nice selection on menu. Was going to get breakfast for lunch, but saw another customer having french onion soup. I love french onion soup. But this one I did not like. The cheese tasted all wrong and the soup was way too sweet. the waitress was very nice, got me some... More

You must try Lobster in Rhode Island we were told - so we took advantage of Benjamin's early bird special and did just that. Delicious but fiddly! Liked this restaurant - feels like a local - nicely decorated upstairs. If you have the cash looked like you could have an excellent seafood meal here.

We've been coming to Newport every Summer for seven years and never noticed Benjamin's. We tried it on a local's recommendation. Fantastic lunch that was reasonably priced. We will definitely eat there again.

Don’t eat here if you required to eat gluten free. They refuse to accommodate you in any way and are extremely rude! We walked out and will never go back.

Get there before 7PM and they have some amazing deals.1-1/2 lb lobster was $13.95 and it was sweet as sugar. King cut of prime rib for $16.95. Great food bargains..even on the regular menu. Fish is excellent. Casual. Great location. One of the best food deals we found in this great city. You go upstairs to dine!

We loved this place and went twice. Very local feel to it even though I'm sure it is flooded with tourists. Service was great. The place was crowded but we had no problem getting a table and were comfortable. My husband loves raw oysters and I LOVE raw clams. Had them both days with a pint of Guinness (of course).... More

Been staying in Newport for over 20 years and walked by Benjamin's hundreds of times but never tried it. Was told not to miss breakfast, lunch or dinner but especially on Tuesday when oysters, shrimp and clams casino are $1 each. Good good, nice staff and friendly people. When we asked the guy at the next table if he was... More

So glad we came across this place while staying in Newport for the 4th. Their happy hour $1 oysters are unbeatable. We sat right at the bar and had 2 dozen, delicious. Bartenders were friendly, they had good sized TVs to watch the World Cup. We returned later on after the fireworks but sat upstairs outside, still great. The only... More

We had an incredible lunch enjoying the raw bar's tourist trap, the mothershucker. Mike at the raw bar was awesome- be sure you tip him if you order from there. We sat at the bar and were impressed with how hard he works!! Tyler makes a great Bloody Mary and kept the coors flowing! Our favorite meal in Newport, hands... More
