Excellent breakfast

Great greasy spoon type breakfast. It has been many years since we have been here, but still worth coming back for. A local favorite, for sure. Great prices and yummy meal combos. Heads up - CASH ONLY. We will be back again.

Cash only and they have an ATM in the place. Cool place to have breakfast. The look of the place is an old breakfast diner from the '50's. Looks like a family run business. The banana pecan french toast is awesome. Gets busy in the summer time so get there early!

The Franklin Spa is in the middle of a a very pretty neighborhood on Spring St.rather than the more touristy areas of Newport. We were a family of six (including two children) on a Sunday morning. Although the restaurant was full, they managed to find a pleasant table for us. We started with a bottomless cup of delicious coffee and... More

My husband and I went with friends to walk around Newport on a misty Sunday in January. We stopped in to the Franklin Spa at about noon and the place was warm, cozy, and inviting in a neighborhood way--not as touristy as many places in Newport. We all had variations on their Eggs Benedict (I had the classic). Verdict: scrumptious.... More

Went here for breakfast one morning in Newport. We got there just before the rush and glad we did! The food was delicious and the servers were very attentive. Very fairly priced! Definitely recommend.

As others have described, this restaurant has a classic diner feel but offers elevated diner food. The menu has pretty standard breakfast fare but the brunch menu is really where it sets itself apart. We stopped in for brunch after a quick trip to Newport. We got there a little before 10 and there was already a line forming and... More
