Great food, reasonable pricing, friendly service ! A great place filled with local color. I love how they have held on to the name, preserving a bit of history and the use of " spa"

on a busy weekend, be prepared to wait for a table. This is a very quaint diner with style. it's always so busy so it took us a while to actually get a spot in there... I'm not huge on breakfast, but when i do have it, it's usually more like brunch time anyway. I loved how this place is... More

Went on a recent visit- virtually empty and no wait. Fresh squeezed orange juice and friendly service were the highlights- everything else was nothing to write home about. It was breakfast food, at a diner. Oh, the mugs were cute.

We ate at Franklin Spa today while staying in Newport for the weekend. The food was below average and the service although fine was not "friendly" as many others have suggested. I'm not sure if there just aren't many other breakfast options in the area but I don't know how there are so many rave reviews. I got a veggie... More

This is your quintessential diner with great food, reasonable prices, and a really friendly staff. We ate at the bar because all the tables were taken and we would have had to wait outside until a table opened up (no thanks in January!). This was exactly what we needed on New Year's Day and what you see is what you... More

Stopped in at the Franklin Spa before we departed back to NJ after a pre-Christmas vacation. This 50's style diner had a lot of history and class as our waitress gave us some background in regards to the title of the restaurant. The pictures on the walls were a nice touch as our favorite was the Gehrig/Ruth fishing photo in... More

The quality of the food here is awesome, and the service was very friendly. The place gets pretty busy even out of season but it's worth it as a result of the Home Style Cooking. I'd have to go to a spot in Columbus OH for a breakfast to match this place.

Boy, did this place take us back a bit! How cute! A real "fifties" breakfast and lunch spot where we had breakfast on our trip to Newport. It was rated very well on Tripadvisor so we found it and enjoyed it. Wait staff was wonderful. You must park on the street so go early to get a place.

Fast, friendly service, a great selection of homecooked eggs, waffles, pancakes, you name it. Grilled pumpkin muffin was amazing. Prices were very reasonable. One of those little neighborhood places that has a lot of history. Really enjoyed it here.

Great little local place for breakfast! The staff here is friendly and attentive. The best coffee we had in the area during this trip! Simple, good food-consistent each time. Try the Portuguese sweet bread as your toast. Interesting flavor! Great pancakes, but different than your normal pancakes. Thin and crispy. Awesome! On Spring street, right around the Memorial bend. Try... More
