When food is just so-so, at least if it's hot and a lot you don't feel too badly about it. We had a veggie pizza, which was pretty good, and then shared a "Fat Boy" barbeque entree (chicken, ribs, shrimp). Ribs were dry, chicken breast patties tasted frozen not fresh, baked beans from a can, shrimp also wasn't fresh-tasting, and... More

For the last 15 years my wife and I have not been dissatisfied once with the great choisess on the menu. Last Thursday (April 17th) one of the best dining out experiencess I can remember... More

Everythng looked great from the building exterior to the interior design. The food presentation was especially pleasing to the eye, and the menu had something for everyone, but the food was only average, and a bit expensive. No parking. Very pleasant but Inexperienced waitstaff. Overall it was a ripoff.

I had lobster nachos. Wow! Huge hunks of lobster. Very tasty! My husband wanted hot lobster BLT. Even tho it wasn't on the menu as a hot lobster BLT, they made it that way for him anyway. They were very accommodating. Quite tasty.

We waited almost an hour for our main meal. Although the food was good, we had the lobster sole and baby back ribs, it was so loud we could barely have a conversation. And this was during a cold Wednesday night in April. We were seated upstairs so I don't know if it was quieter downstairs. Don't go here if... More

This restaurant was very busy even on a Sunday night in the off season, but we only had to wait 15-20 minutes to be seated. The bad news was that there was no where to sit, since the bar was filled. One elderly man who was waiting sat on the steps of the stairs to the upper level. It was... More

I heard very good things about this place prior to my trip to Newport. When my wife and I tried to have lunch there, it just didn't work out. We were traveling with our 4-month old son, who was sleeping in his stroller. I was willing to work my way up the six steps out front, but the hostess told... More

The food here is delicious, you must get there early for lunch or dinner because it fills up quickly. We had some appetizers, the fried green tomatoes and shrimp was delicious. We had lobster rolls for lunch, which was fantastic. This restaurant is a must go to.

Right in the lovely shopping area of Thames St. Three stories, stairs only. That means the waitstaff on the third floor has to go up and down the stairs for food and drinks several dozen times during their shift. For that reason alone I gave a big tip! Food was better than average. Prices were reasonable. Nice dinner out with... More
