The food here is delicious, you must get there early for lunch or dinner because it fills up quickly. We had some appetizers, the fried green tomatoes and shrimp was delicious. We had lobster rolls for lunch, which was fantastic. This restaurant is a must go to.

Right in the lovely shopping area of Thames St. Three stories, stairs only. That means the waitstaff on the third floor has to go up and down the stairs for food and drinks several dozen times during their shift. For that reason alone I gave a big tip! Food was better than average. Prices were reasonable. Nice dinner out with... More

My fiancé and I went here for a late lunch while visiting Newport for the weekend. We were seated on the top floor by the window, which had a great view. We had the jerk chicken quesadilla which was tasty and the lobster nachos. The lobster nachos were amazing! Cheesy with a buttery, tomato, lobster sauce on them. Our drinks... More

We arrived into town late in the evening, tired from the drive and hungry. We did not want a full dinner, but something light to eat. We decided to try The Red Parrot Restaurant on lower Thames. We arrived about 10:30pm and were taken to a cozy table for two upstairs overlooking lower Thames Street and the Midtown Oyster Bar... More

While on a business trip that both my husband and I had to make to the Newport area, we looked forward to a nice dinner after a long day of work. Unfortunately we found ourselves a bit disappointed with the Red Parrot. We were encouraged by friends to go to the Red Parrot, however we found the main course to... More

Had a great salad and wine, I believe the salad was called the "Sexy Steak Salad". My wife and I both enjoyed it very much. One evening we were looking for a light meal and had their Nachos with Chili. Great appetizer but bug of two of us to share.

Delicious! We had the Lobster Quesidillas(SP) and stuffed mushrooms. Our waitress was very attentive.

Loved this place. The menu presented so many options. We tried the seafood alfredo. Very large portion and a great option for sharing. The ribs were a little dry for my taste, my husband said that was just the piece I tried. He thought it was juicy. I appreciate more sauce I guess. The buffalo calamari was a great idea... More

This looked like a great place for dinner. It is centrally located in Newport, although not the easiest place to find a parking spot. It was nicely crowded, but there are several levels, so you get seated fairly quickly and don't have too much noise from the bar. The waiter recommended the swordfish, so I got it. My sister ordered... More

This is very convenient to downtown Newport, and it's big enough that we got seated quickly (this was off-season). However, they never took away ANY of our dirty dishes during the whole meal. Our chowder bowls sat there all meal, etc. Every time they'd approach the table, they'd drop off our latest dish and run away immediately, before we could... More
