At Brick Alley Pub we have it all: "pub style" comfort food to modern multicultural cuisine all served with genuine down-home hospitality. Like America itself, Brick Alley is one big melting pot of ethnicities, flavors, and fun. If you are looking for stiff, over the top formal service with small portions of over-priced food, we are not that place. After more than 30 years as one of Rhode Island's most popular restaurants with locals and tourists alike, the Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant has earned landmark status. Located at 140 Thames Street across from the Brick Market Place in Downtown Newport the Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant offers a warm and cozy fireplace in the winter and comfortably air-conditioned dining rooms in the summer. The Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant specializes in a blend of flavorful steaks, fresh local seafood, pastas, and seasonal specials. Begin your dinner with a selection from our cocktail menu or choose a wine from our extensive wine list. This wine list features over 250 different vintages and has received the Wine Spectator Award for Excellence. Open for lunch and dinner, Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant accepts reservations and offers an upstairs function room that can accommodate up to 170 people. The Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant has received favorable reviews from countless local and national publications including: The Providence Journal, Travel-Holiday, Ford Times, Rhode Island Monthly, and Newport Life Magazine. Great fun, where the locals go, fun fun fun

Didn't get to the salad bar but the mussels and the chowder and the lobster rolls were divine. I'd go back to Newport just for this pub alone!

The food here was excellent, though the service was a bit relaxed, especially for a Saturday night. Fortunately, we had reservations, or we would have had to wait to be seated. The nachos were the best we've ever had and would have been plenty for two of us to share as an entrée.

Nestled in the heart of Newport on Thames Street, this restaurant has something for everyone. From appetizers to burgers to "complete" dinners, the food is very good and very reasonably priced for Newport, Rhode Island. On a Saturday night we were nicely surprised that we were able to be seated immediately, which is a rare occurrence in Newport during the... More

Awesome! Fresh, wonderful salad bar, including incredible homemade soup right in the middle of everything. Friendly helpful efficient staff. I will definitely return for dinner next time. Surprisingly well priced for such a touristy place.

We were traveling from out of town so my son and I went here based on TA reviews. Parking...costs about $10 in pay parking lots. I recommend you drive past the restaurant first because there is limited metered parking out front. We didn't and it was available. Live and learn. We went at about 5 pm on a friday night.... More

Looking for someplace to go on a Sunday evening...and still suffering from that huge brunch you had earlier in the day? We found Brick Alley Pub to be a fun, relaxing yet lively spot - yes even on a Sunday evening. Didn't have reservations so we went to the bar while waiting for a table..met a nice local couple who... We ate here in July 2015 and absolutely loved it. The spicy shrimp pizza and Gary’s Portuguese Littleneck Clams appetizer were some of the best food we have had in Newport. I loved the atmosphere and how they keep families and couples separated. The only reason it loses a star is because of our second visit. We loved it so... More

Jennie, Thank you for your repeat business and feedback. I am very sorry that the hostess was short with you. That is not even close to our philosophy of gracious hospitality that we have been preaching since day one in 1980. The response should have been "absolutely, my pleasure" or if there was a wait at the time "My pleasure,... More

Stopped here for dinner this week, everything was great! Had the chicken parm and chicken lemon with capers, salad was good, sangria and dessert were even better. Great food that didn't seem overpriced with really good service.

Lana, Thank you for visiting Brick Alley and for leaving a review. I am sorry that you were looking some more flavor out of your lobster roll. We serve a traditional New England style Roll, that alows the lobster itself to be the star of the show. We appreciate your feedback, and we hope to see you again on your... More
