Went for lunch on Sat, very busy place in few sections, front, middle bar, back room, upstairs too. If you order a main, you can pay a little bit more for soup, salad (in iced container) & bread buffet. We had vegetable soup, lobster cake, golden rack pork rib & penne, everything's are in good standard, I especially like the... More

Brick Alley came highly recommended by locals but I found it disappointing. Food was average at best. Had a wonderful server. If you want to experience Newport go somewhere else.

There's lots of restaurants in Newport and you can take your chance with any one of them but The Brick Alley Pub is a sure bet. This a pretty traditional bar/tavern/restaurant that's busy and noisy. The atmosphere is lively and be prepared to wait a bit for a table if it's a weekend. You can always sit at the bar... More

Highly recommended so I gave it a try. Arrived a 630 with a reservation - had to wait till 7 to be seated. Already sold out of the prime rib special?? basic pub food - stuffed clams were heavy on the oil/butter - pasta had way to much garlic and couldn't finish.Portion size was good for a hungry eater. Decent... More

I wish I could tell you about the wonderful burger I had. I read a lot of great reviews on this place. BUT what I did not read is they are not are not family friendly! We were told we could not bring a stroller with our baby into the establishment. We ate at for three days in Newport and... More

Damian, I am very sorry that you were disappointed to learn that strollers are not permitted table side in Brick Alley. The one and only reason for this is for the safety of the children. We ask that children be taken out of the strollers so that they may be stored for the duration of dinner. We make exceptions to... More

Went for dinner on the Thursday before Labor Day weekend around 5:30. We were quickly seated and given our drinks. My teenager had the salad pizza and enjoyed it. My spouse had a steak meal that was ok. I had chicken piccata and appreciated the light coating of flour it had been dredged in. I got the beet and winter... More

First experience at the Brick Alley won't be our last! We were a party of 11, and the kind team at the restaurant found a way to squeeze us into a great table. But, the food was even better than expected as we settled into a late lunch! Run--don't walk--to Brick Alley!

We stopped into the Brick Alley Pub on a Sunday night around 6pm for dinner. It was very crowded when we arrived and the wait time was about 40 minutes. Not a big deal because with it's location right on Thames Street there were a number of shops that remain open late so we could shop for a bit while... More

We had no idea where to have our dinner and walked by the Brick Alley Pub. We were very pleased with our choice: prices are reasonable, the menu offers all sorts of possibilities (the sandwiches are very creative with spinach, artichokes etc), the atmosphere is great, the staff is friendly. We had a great family dinner. Another good address in... More
