So we were looking for a nice, fine dining place where to eat. This place looked pretty fancy from outside. When we saw the hostess we were sent upstairs, and the restaurant was more like a pub/diner. It had some caracter into it but not what we were looking for. They have a salad/soup bar and free bread sticks.

We ate dinner here after a day of touring Newport. Casual dining....The food was very good and came highly reccommended by locals, always a good sign. Amazing Nachos and huge menu.

Stopped in for some appetizers and tried the Ahi Tuna Sliders. Good quality tuna, good portion (8 pieces and crispy wontons) and good value. The quesadilla was also good. 7PM on a Monday and the place was crowded. That says something.

we had a party of six plus a three year old. Everyone enjoyed their entree. The sea scallops was excellent as was the jamablaya. The entrees came with a salad bar and soup. The food was very good. Very comfortable and they did not rush us.

I read some reviews on TripAdvisor and liked what I read. We were out walking the wharf area and came across Brick Alley....can't miss it....big yellow building. Well fellow TripAdvisors....you just have to try this place. Even if you just walk in and walk around, it is too interesting to pass up. Not sure there is a spot on the... More

I went here with my husband, mother and sister. My mother and sister were visiting from out of state. I hadn't been to this place in about 10 years, so I thought I'd give it a try. We were seated and our drink orders were taken promptly. I ordered a sandwich with a side ceasar salad, as did my husband.... More

We went to the bar, while waiting to be seated. The hostess told us 20 minutes, but it was only 10. I ordered a Bloody Mary, extra spicey, and it was perfect. What better to order while in New England, but a lobster dish. I wasn't disappointed. The lobster was delicious. The waitress was friendly and took our order right... More

We went to Brick Alley on recommendation from the owner of the B&B we stayed at and sure enough, this place had good food. He said this is were the locals like to eat. So if the locals like it, we should to. We were told there was a 30 min wait but found a place at the bar and... More

This restaurant is located right on Thames Street where the action is. The only parking is on the street, but there is a row of "angle parking" in the center of the street, so a much better chance of getting a spot. The place is quite large - there are two separate rooms that connect at the back where the... More

Brick Alley is a funky eatery right in the heart of downtown Newport, an easy walk from most hotels and B&B's. The pub has a very eclectic decor, complete with a full sized fire engine, which is used as a salad bar. Families and couples alike will enjoy taking in all there is to see on the walls and even...
