We had dinner just before they closed for their winter break, and the place was pretty busy (the bar packed! but the noise doesn't travel to the restaurant unless you are right beside the door). Mussels appetizer were fantastic. Salmon great, and meat meals. Waitress was good. We enjoy this restaurant - good food and atmosphere.

What a fabulous surprise: the fried calamari! This is a must have at this restaurant! The rest of the meal was perfect and delicious but the calamari was the best I've ever eaten!

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and it really is a wonderful find. The food was delicious and the lady serving us was very friendly and helpful especially with the choice of wine. Highly recommended.

The service was very prompt in fact rather too prompt as our main course arrived whilst we were still eating our oysters! My husband's ribs were very enjoyable but my pork chops were very ordinary. Altogether we enjoyed the experience but would probably choose a different restaurant should we visit Newport again

The clam chowder was the best I have ever eaten. If you go on a Monday night they always have half price entrees. The service was very good, and the food was even better. Although it is a small establishment, we had no trouble getting a window seat as we went early. The wine is pricey though.

Our party of 6 were very impressed with Zeldas. Great drinks and food. I personally like white clam chowder to have a thinner broth like consistency and Zeldas was the best...yum!! One friend had the scallops and she really enjoyed them. Two other friends had the tuna and they thought is a delicious. It's a very small place so be... More

Went to Cafe Zelda because of the good reviews. Food was very mediocre. Mixed green mesclun salad was an odd combination of favors. Tuna entree was ok. Friends had clam chowder, caprese salad, and the burger. Everyone was underwhelmed. Slow service.

Zelda's had a great atmosphere and fantastic service --I highly recommend the clam chowder and steak.

We loved the quiet atmosphere, and the food was great. The grilled Caesar salad was superb, and the cod was delicious. We didn't give a top rating because the scallops, while tasty, were slightly gritty.

Every year we sail to Newport and visit Zeldas. We love their food, enjoy the atmosphere (especially the window tables), and appreciate the attentive servers. This visit my husband enjoyed the mussels appetizer and the delicious duck with duck confit, sausage and pate. I was happy with the salad and the tuna. The staff was very helpful in making a...
