Great Local Place

Been to Newport many times but never noticed this place until the other day. Stopped in for a pint at this very cute, clean bar. The menu looks great. Will definitely have to try it on another visit.

We had a fantastic dinner here. Lovely staff, very pretty and intimate restaurant. We shared a huge started of calamari that was delicious then really went for it and both had the chicken fried lobster - WOW WOW WOW! Fresh bread, olive oil, lovely wine. A really exceptional restaurant.

One of the best restaurants in Newport and definitely worth visiting! Atmosphere is great in restaurant side & bar side, service is friendly & food is incredibly good! Make sure you order the warm gorgonzola & toasted bread small plate to start!

This is an excellent restaurant that has a lovely and diverse menu. I had a tuna appetizer that was excellent and which could have been my whole meal in a larger potion. My entree was excellent duck confit. Everyone else in my party of 8 had different dishes and all were pleased with their choices. Service was very good. I... More

Cafe Zelda has great customer service, a lovely atmosphere and average food. We had: Mussels Brittany - very tasty Beets & Goat Cheese salad - good Filet Mignon with Gorgonzola - the cheese totally overpowered the beef. I had to scrape the cheese off to get beef flavor. Short Ribs - tasty but a bit fatty Espresso Martini - very... More

Consistently good food & service. Great small bar next door. Not too expensive & good choices. good wine selection. The bathrooms could use a refit!!! Not particularly clean & really shabby.

Group of twelve looking for a great dinner!! Well we found it at Zelda's. Noisy, crowded, lots of action but still great service and food. Our server has obviously done this for some time and nothing fazed her. Took the orders calmly, brought the special requests, chatted with us and never missed a beat. Food was great. From hamburgers to... More

Stopped here while on our way to The Breakers mansion. We had been walking around the city for awhile and we were hungry. We walked in and sat at the bar as the dining room was not yet opened. The Bar was very clean and the bartender was very friendly. I had ordered a Buffalo Chicken Wrap which was so... More

My husband and I went to Cafe Zelda to commemorate our first date 30 years ago. We ordered the calamari and thought it was delicious. It was fresh and crisp and plenty for the two of us. The place was pretty quiet as it was early in the evening. Our server was very helpful and attentive. We both had the... More

We had dinner just before they closed for their winter break, and the place was pretty busy (the bar packed! but the noise doesn't travel to the restaurant unless you are right beside the door). Mussels appetizer were fantastic. Salmon great, and meat meals. Waitress was good. We enjoy this restaurant - good food and atmosphere.
