We started with the Kale Caesar Salad, which was delicious! My husband ordered the short rib burger, which he said was good but probably not worth the 14 dollars for it. The truffle fries were yum. I had the Cornish Hen (I think it's cooked under a brick or something), but expected a whole hen and it was half of... More

A really cute eclectic restaurant with really good food ... The short rib burger was fabulous and the fried spinach that came with the salmon was excellent .... Glad we went !!!!

We had an excellent meal at Salvation Cafe in Newport. Salads, cocktails, and pad thai were delicious. And when our car got towed mid meal, our fantastic waiter comped us dessert! Would definitely recommend and try again. I'm still dreaming about the butternut squash sage lasagna.

We had dinner here on a Saturday night. The place has fun decor and different items on the menu. The food was good, I had the game hen dinner on a plate of beans and my husband had pad Thai(just ok I would order something else). The drinks were fun I had coconut mojito which was nice. We were there... More

Fabulous and funky food in a stylish restaurant with a vibrant feel about it. The meals and desserts were all delicious (we had a table of nine people and everyone loved the food). The restaurant itself is colourful and busy, but not so packed that you cannot enjoy yourself. The staff were pleasant and friendly, and the prices were very... More

This review is very long overdue! My brother got married at the end of October and my mother and I were in charge of planning the rehearsal dinner. We chose Salvation Café and I couldn't have picked a more perfect venue. I'm an NYC event planner and had previously worked at a food magazine so I'm super selective (ehem...picky). Working... More

My partner and I were in Newport for the weekend and were staying a short walk from the Salvation Cafe. I had done some research on restaurants and bars and this was one of many on my list. We contemplated a few in the area before walking in, without a reservation, to see if we could get seated. We were... More

Pad Thai, during our visits to the Salvation Café the staff is attentive, willing to please and happy to be there. The menu has many tempting items, but Pad Thai is usually ordered and the remainder taken home.
