Me and my wife ate here during October so it was coming to the end of the season and there were still tables available on the night that we visited. I thought the food was excellent, some of the best that we had during our week vacation including boston and newport. I had the spicy penne pasta which was a... More

We went here with some in trepidation as there were a few, although the minority, blistering reviews. We loved the place. Great atmosphere and food. IF you follow THEIR rules and make a Ressie and give credit card info, you should have no problem. The chickpea soup could have used more herbs but felt nicely homemade. We both had pasta... More

My family recently ate here and were sorely disappointed with the quality. For starters, you must use a credit card to hold a reservation and if you cancel, it is a $25/person charge...really? We were rushed to order because another reservation was behind us and overall I felt rushed. The prices are a bit higher than the Italian restaurants I... More

We enjoyed Mamma's on a Saturday night, typically the busiest night of the week. We had a large party of 8 and the staff made every effort to book us at a time convenient to us and be mindful of their customer needs on a busy night. Our waiter was very attentive, friendly and keep a keen eye on our... More

Firstly, I am sure the food is great, but you have to be seated to make that call. We booked for 8 and we took a slow walk for 30 minutes to get there. We arrived early at 7.15 to a not very busy restaurant. We were told the we were early and that we could wait upstairs until they... More

This was a simply divine experience. The food was light as air and rich with flavor. I had the butternut squash ravioli and my boyfriend had the breaded chicken. I also can't say enough good things about the service. It was just a dream!

We had a fabulous meal at this very intimate (3 small dining rooms) restaurant. It is run by Tuscan italians so it does not serve your typical pizzeria style southern fare - although they have that too and it's made wonderfully. My pasta fagioli was made in the northern style - pureed with a flavor that I could swear was... More

The restaurant is divided into several small, nicely decorated rooms, providing a quiet environment and a feeling of intimacy. Service was excellent; our waiter was very helpful in explaining the detailed content and preparation of the dishes that interested us. Best of all, the food was exceptional. From the bread and appetizers to the main courses and dessert, everything was... More

We booked a table online, supplied credit card details and received a confirmation email. We turned up at the appointed time (having walked for an hour in torrential rain) and, on announcing ourselves, were told in an extremely rude manner by the proprietor that we had not supplied our card details and that our reservation was cancelled (copy of my... We got to this restaurant at 7:00 p.m. without having a reservation. They were completely booked but they were so nice and accomodating. They found us a table but advised that we had to done by 8:30 p.m. That was plenty of time to enjoy this delicious and fresh Italian dinner. We ordered two salads, two main courses, two cappuccinos... More
