My husband and I visit Newport once a year. Tuckers has been our favorite restaurant until our last visit this past weekend. The hostess sat us at a lovely table in the back. We then were ignored for a very long 20 minutes by all staff. A moment before we were ready to get up and leave, the hostess came... more

Sparse menu, high cost, strange wait staff, and even stranger tasting food. I'd call the food strange looking if it weren't so dark in there. Kudos to the owner's for making it so dark in there, quite brilliant actually. That way you can't see the over-priced menu all that well, and the fact that a McDonald's Happy Meal would occupy... more

I have just experienced my fourth wonderful evening of dining at Tucker's over the past six months. Just like the other 3 evenings, the Bistro is charming, Tucker is enormously entertaining while being totally attentive to his customer's needs and the food is superb. Seven different friends have accompanied me to Tucker's and have raved about the experience. The atmosphere... more

This is a charming little restaurant with very interesting, beautifully prepared food. We were there on a quiet midweek evening and were seated at a great table in the front by the windows. The decor is a hybrid between Paris bistro and bordello.....its funky and fun. As other reviewers have commented, the staff is attentive and very knowledgable. The menu... more

Just made our second visit to Tucker's Bistro and once again everything was wonderful. We started off with the Thai shrimp nachos (Tucker if you are reading this i would love the recipe) they were delicious. I had the sea bass with sunflower seed risotto and my husband had the pork tenderloin special. Both were excellent. I love the atmosphere... more

My wife and I had a delightful dinner at Tucker's. She had the bolognese style veal and I had the duck, both really good - the duck breast rich and juicy with crispy skin. Add great service, a wonderfully quaint decor, and a relaxed atmosphere - we would love to come back. more

My husband and I had dinner at Tucker's Bistro and were able to have the very private cove seating. The food quality was very good, wine list reasonable, service exceptional. more

This has been my wife and my favorite restaurant since we met 6 years ago. We had our first date at Tuckers and since that time we have moved all over the country. Every time we visit Newport we have to stop into Tuckers, and Tucker always remembers us. The food is excellent, I have eaten in some of the... more

We ate at Tucker's last Friday and as usual it was fabulous! I just love this place. First of all the atmopshere, with the deep red walls covered in original oil paintings, is warm, inviting and makes me feel very comfortable. The staff is attentive, all of them helpful and quick with a smile. You know you are in good... more
