Delicious food and good service

We really enjoyed our evening. The setting right on the water was great, especially as the sun was setting. Service was gracious and not at all rushed. We shared a Cesar Salad and I had the seared BBQ glazed salmon over couscous and baby spinach and peas. My husband had the cod, served in a fish broth with little neck... More

Restaurant was recommended to us for the "Ceasar Salad" and I have to agree it was good; however, if you like anchovies like we do then just ask for extras (learned that from Alex (our female server who was very nice and informative). Not inexpensive but comporable to surrounding restaurants. Great meal, wonderful service (already noted) and good drinks. Would highly... More

We stopped in for lunch after a visit to the Breakers. This is a wonderful restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient. We ordered wine and lobster rolls! The lobster rolls were outstanding! Some of the best lobster I have ever eaten. We will would definitely go back!

The Mooring is our favorite restaurant in Newport. Whenever we are in the area we dine here and have always enjoyed the freshest seafood with impeccable service. We love the nautical ambience overlooking the harbor. Lunch or dinner, we are consistently pleased with this restaurant. On our last visit for lunch we enjoyed a special monkfish wrap sandwich. The fish... More

I was waiting to get my sailboat ride out to watch the start of the Volvo Ocean Race, and decided to hit my favorite place -- the bar at The Mooring -- and get my half-dozen oysters. I hit this bar every time I am in town, and get either the oysters, or the lobster roll. It's a great place... More

This restaraunt had a gluten free menu to offer which was a surprise to me. There was a very good selection of entrees and the staff was friendly. We sat where there was a view of the boats and the docks. The place was very noisy, that was the only down side.

This is a great seafood restaurant that has the typical seafood choices to choose from . If you sit in the back of the restaurant it is opened to the bay where the view is spectacular as the sailing boats are moored there.

My husband and I had gone to The Mooring recently for lunch. I had ordered the lobster croissant. It was really good. It was a bit expensive, but they didn't skimp on the lobster meat. For dessert, I had ordered The Mooring devil dog that came with a scoop of Espresso sorbet or gelato. I liked their spin on the... More

Had the Portuguese influenced cod. Wonderful. The cod was very flaky. Not rubbery like we get in the Midwest
