We celebrated our 10 year anniversary here and they made us feel so special. We had a great server, Jessica. She was very attentive and made us laugh, too. Food was amazing. So fresh and unique. We would absolutely go back again!

My husband and I made a last minute decision to try out the Mooring before a concert at the Newport Yachting Center. We were a bit late but they still honored our reservation with a perfect table for 2 on the deck. The restaurant was beyond packed, but somehow our table felt secluded and we didn't feel like we had... More

Reservations: Made them on OpenTable; convenient and easy. Parking: $15, right next to the restaurant; worth it for the hassle of downtown Newport Service: Very good. Prompt, attentive, efficient. Food: Solid; I would not go overboard with praise, but everything was tasty, hot and nicely presented. Value: Dinner for four: 4 appetizers, 4 entrees; 5 drinks, 3 desserts, $380 with... More

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at The Mooring. Whether you have a sandwich at lunch or enjoy their dinner menu you will be pleased with the options they provide. The menu is focused on seafood ( you're in Newport, eat seafood!) but if you have non-seafood lovers they can find a few options. The steaks are great and the side/appetizers... More

My wife and I had our 10 year anniversary dinner at The Mooring....we had a great bottle of Prosecco ($44) at the bar before dinner and then shared another bottle during our meal. We both had the Filet, my wife added shrimp with hers and we split brussel sprouts. Everything we had was fantastic. The steaks were some of the... More

This place was hopping, but it never got too noisy. The staff were attentive but not hovering over us, and the food was delicious. Watched the sun disappear over the sailboats docked in front of us.

I made reservations for The Mooring about a week in advance because I saw that this restaurant had so many great reviews. The atmosphere was lovely. We sat out on the deck with a great view of the Wharf. I had high hopes...the oysters were wonderful however a lot of the other food that we ordered came out cold and... More

Coming here for a date night is wonderful. The staff is extremely kind and takes care of your table, they also have thorough knowledge of the menu. They do some great dishes for restaurant week if you happen to stop in then. Kinda pricey, but for a date sitting right on the harbor, it can't be beat.
