That's what the water in the pitcher tasted like! Awful service and very cramped and dark. Our server had no manners and didn't even check on us once. We will not be returning!

The food at this restaurant is fabulous. The staff is pleasant and accomodating. I had a sala Mista and my partner the salad Fresca. Each were delicious but the salad Fresca was special with the light lemon vinaigrette. The Tagliatelle ai Gamberi e Cappesante - Egg Ribbon Pasta sautéed with Shrimps, Scallops, Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, fresh Garlic, Red Pepper Flakes... More

It's hard to find a good pie outside of the NY metro area. But try, we did and it was an utter failure. The pasta dishes were good, tho.

Very authentic Italian restaurant with excellent service. Start with hot and fresh bread. Pizza is ok but the entrees are excellent. Try the sausage with pasta...you won't be disappointed. Great place if you are looking for a change from seafood.

We were pleasantly surprised about the food quality, but this is not a typical pizzeria. We shared the veggie pizza and the pasta with Bolognese sauce. Its not often fresh sage in a sauce is used on a lunch item in a pizzeria. I would've rated it a five however i felt I was over charged for an extra item... More

We were in the mood for Italian and saw this was within walking distance to our hotel (Newport Harbor Hotel). We looked it up on Trip Advisor, read some reviews, and linked on website to read menu. Called and made a reservation then walked over for dinner. The place is small and the reservation was the way to go. We... More

WOW... It is very difficult to put into words just how delicious and authentic the food at Mamma Luisa's is. All I can say is, my husband and I have been vacationing in Newport for the past five years and we always go to new restaurants... except for Mamma Luisa's. This is our favorite restaurant in Newport and we always... More

We are Italian food snobs so most would give this an excellent rating. 3 out of 4 dishes were very good - penne, veal, and lobster with linguine all got high marks. My chicken cutlet (Cotoletta? a new item) was way too salty. I drank a gallon of water to get through one cutlet. And we had to wait over... More

Great place to eat prices are not that bad. Remember you are in Newport where every restaurant is sea food or fish. If you need a break from sea food this is the place to go.
