The Spiced Pear offers wonderful atmosphere, inspiring views, and stellar service. The food, unfortunately, is hit or miss--mostly miss--and certainly not worth the hefty price tag. The raw oysters one of us ordered for an appetizer and the lemon poppy souffle one of us ordered for dessert were amazing. Everything else was ehhhh...ordinary, generally oversalted fare that would not be... More

Not great but it was in our hotel. Good for breakfast but dinner was disappointing. Next time we eat in town for dinner every night.

Had visited the bar for drinks and apps in the past and loved it..not so much on my last visit. The regular bartender was rude and distracted, we asked for a menu three times. I spoke with the manager who insisted that he had never had a complaint before..everyone was thrilled with the service, really..in the restaurant business I doubt... More

We saw this restaurant while on the Cliff Walk and decided to have lunch there. From the easy going reception at the valet station to the laid back wait service and the excellent wine and food, this was a delightful lunch destination. The fish tacos were delicious, the GQ burger was perfect and the petit fours for dessert were simply... More

We had a glass of wine sitting on the lawn overlooking the the cliff walk. It was a beautiful, relaxing experience. We also dined at the spiced pear on the patio. Although, we had a large group, we were all served hot, beautifully prepared food. The food was fresh and tasty. I would recommend stopping by.

We went to dinner here for the fabulous food and view. Unfortunately, we will remember this meal for the over-salted food. EVERYTHING was over-salted. The lobster bisque was over-salted. The ~$54 clambake was ridiculously over-salted. There was a sandwich that included bacon and that was so spicy that 3 glasses of water didn't get rid of the taste. Service was... More

Conveniently right down the stairs from our room at the Chandler. How lucky were we!!! Dinner on Saturday was just right. The had my wife's favorite wine of all time. We were treated to free samples of Cavier and some tasty bread as well. My salmon was to die for, while my wife's chicken dish was top shelf. The dessert... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent dinner at the Spiced Pear. The view from the beautiful dining room is gorgeous making for a near perfect setting. The dining room is also divided into three areas lending a more initiate feel and ensuring it doesn't get too loud. Don't be surprised if there are families with young children eating here - if... This restaurant has a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the beach and ocean . It is at the end of the cliff walk near the beach. This is a nice spot for lunch. Depending where you start your time on the cliff walk it could be a nice braKe at your turn around point or nice end to your walk. Food... More
