We stayed at the Chanler for a week, so we had the privilege of eating breakfast at the Spiced Pear every morning. It was some of the best food my husband and I have ever eaten. We ended up trying everything on the menu and we're never disappointed. The temperature, portion and flavor were just right every time. The view... More

Had lunch here with a good friend and we had a great time. We were seated next to the window and had a view of the shoreline and the Cliff Walk. I had a shrimp Caesar salad ( they put 4 Jumbo shrimps on my salad instead of chicken) which was huge and very tasty! The staff here are great...Very... More

We enjoyed breakfast & lunch here, but dinner disappointed twice. The dining room is just beautiful, with a fantastic view of the beach and cliff walk. Service is fantastic. Staff is attentive and personable, making you feel welcome. We would not return for dinner though as portions were surprisingly small and quality of seafood (in sea scallop entrée) was disappointing.... More

Eaten here half a dozen times (all for breakfast), very good food yet expensive. Recommend the pancakes or french toast.

What we liked - the view, the building, the interior - it is an absolutely beautiful restaurant. My seafood dish was delicious. What we disliked - the bread was only so, so. My husband's chicken dish was too salty for his taste. Very small portion.

My husband and I spent our 30th Wedding Anniversary celebration in Newport, RI this was one of the many places we ate during our stay and I must say it was amazing from the service of the waiters dressed in tuxes to dessert everything was so delicious. We had the Rib Eye and Scallop and Shrimp dinners - the rib... More

This is absolutely fine dining. Can't say anything negative. The dessert souffle of the day is a must. It could be pricy, but what true fine dining isn't? For some, this can be a regular occurrence, for the rest of us this is a real "treat" or special occasion meal. But whatever it's for, it's a very good dining experience.

Stayed at the Chanler and enjoyed breakfast each morning at the Spiced Pair. The breakfast options were plentyful and very well done. Also enjoyed some items from the lunch menu. The reason why I would rate this restaurant a 3.7 is because we went there for dinner on Christmas Eve and the food was VERY expensive and not good quality.... More

This restaurant is located at the Chandler hotel on Memorial Blvd. This is a lovely special occasion restaurant. Had dinner there in December. A quiet night. Food was just lovely, what presentation. Our waiter Cole, was a delight!! Because it was a quiet night, got a chance to talk with chef Tom. It was a real treat to talk with... More
