although super pricey... the food was good and their wine list is fantastic... great ambiance and scenic views of Newport marina... close to several stores... great outing.
Tuna tartare fresh and fabulous. Prime sirloin excellent and the bernaise is right spot on. The veal chop was excellent and the veal quality was tops. The foi gras was a delight. After many years they seem to be finally getting the food right. Service was very good.
The location is excellent good cocktails clam chower is average - could have used more clams Oyster poor boy had deep fried oysters cooked so crisp that it was hard to note the oyster flavor among the breading on a very dry hot dog roll - disappointing for oyster lovers Fries were good though
We have been coming to 22 Bowen's for our New Years eve dinner for the past 3 years and it is always nothing short of fantastic. The steaks are incredible and the service is very good. My wife is also a huge fan of the cranberry bread, it is really good! Next time we make it up to Newport we... More

The scallops appetizer was excellent as well, but I've never had a restaurant offer shellfish in a mixed presentation like this - so for this alone I'll be back! Wine lovers will welcome... More
We have eaten here at least a dozen times in the past five years and always enjoy our visit. The steaks and seafood are their strong point. On a busy Saturday night, the service can be a bit spotty, but it all works out well. It's nice to start with a glass of wine in their outside "Hut" when the... More
Met friends here for a great night out. Had the fillet that was a perfect medium. Caesar salad - not too garlicky and sides were perfect. Nice wine list. Only complaint - was my chair was bumped a bit as patrons and waiters sped by -
This might not be an accurate reflection of the restaurant as we visited during restaurant week in Newport, so they were particularly busy. I was particularly jet lagged so my appetite and alertness was completely awry, accordingly my memories and recollection seem to be service focussed rather than food. I recall some delicious braised rib, but I just couldn't summon... More
After dining at six places in Newport over a long weekend during restaurant week, we decided this spot beat other options ranked higher. Seafood was fantastic. So was chocolate soufflé.
