Staff were courteous and professional. Overall menu offered good value. Food was well prepared and servings/portions were generous. Our waitress, Johanna was excellent and she really listened to our needs.

We enjoyed lunch at 22 Bowen for the 2nd year in a row. My husband has lobster salad on a bed of fresh greens. The lobster was sweet and perfectly cooked. I had the chicken portabella sandwich with fries. The chicken breast was moist and delicious. The sandwich was large enough to take home half of it for the next... More

Food, drinks, view and service were all very good, but the prices were very steep. The convenience of it being next to all the boat tours makes it worthwhile.

Had dinner with wife and daughter. We had calamari- excellent, tuna tartare - good, torchon of foi gras - excellent and a healthy portion. Wife had cod which she said was very good, I had the veal chop which is off the charts fabulous with porcini butter, my daughter had the NY sirloin which she loved. Service was excellent and... More

We made a reservation and were seated right away. Staff and waitress were very friendly and courteous. Food was good not great. Expensive, a bit over priced, but I would go again.

It's a typical tourist trap. Conveniently located close to all major shopping areas and the port, the place lures people in by its romantic outdoor sitting. The menu is slightly outdated. But the major issue is their incredibly high prices. Bucket (fits only 6-7 clams!) of over salted clams with few drops of broth for $16, tasteless under seasoned tuna... More

Been here a couple of times and will not go to Newport without returning for great food and great service. If you're at the bar, indoor or outdoor seating. It's a special place. Enjoy!

Our favorite restaurant in Newport RHODE ISLAND...On the wharf where you can dine both inside or outside....It is fine dining and costly BUT well worth the price having a meal you will enjoy with great service in addition......

If I set aside the service, 22 Bowen's would deserve a four star rating (and this is the level my son insisted I give). The menu had a great selection of items, the grilled shrimp and lobster corn fritter appetizers were good (though the fritters were a little on the doughy side) and our entrees - scallops, filet mignon and... Great fish dishes. Enjoyed the kale salad with beets, apples, and goat cheese. Sharon was fabulous - helpful and courteous.
