We eat lunch here every time we get to towm . The New England clam chowder is the best . You can also bring home cans of the soup as well.
My husband and I were in Newport ten years ago, and I have dreamed about coming back for the chowder here. Went here for lunch and the chowder is just as amazing as I remember. It's simple and delicious. My brother-in-law loved his fish sandwich and the chocolate mousse that was on the Restaurant Week menu.
Was there for lunch. With a large group. Place was nice, service was good. Food not so good. Ordered a bloody Mary. Not very good. I have had better bottled Mary mix. Ordered a chicken salad sandwich. Tons of mayo and to boot a horrific potato salad came with it with even more mayo. Other menu items were extremely expensive.... More
Great chowder! Cozy little spot. Awesome service and food. Also has delicious lobster. Always a first stop when we come to Newport.
Definitely the best chowder in Newport...we have been there multiple times and enjoy it more and more each time we visit. We bring back quarts of their wonderful chowder home every time. We bring a cooler with us just for this purpose...worth the trip!!
What a great location for dining. We visited on a glorious day in October , queued for a few minutes , staff keen to get us seated and served quickly. The sea air seemed to make the food and drink even tastier. ell worth a visit

We love chowder and no one beats the Black Pearl's in Newport, Rhode Island. It's filled with clams, every spoonful has at least 3-4 clams, it's thick with fresh cream and just the type of spices you don't forget. It's a secret recipe . If you have never tried it, you don't know what you have missed! Take a trip!... More
Perfect New England wharf lunch spot. The smell of the clam chowder got everyone in our party to have a cup of it. Watch out, it is rich so a bowl can be too much. The sandwiches were also nice.
