Are you kidding me??? Bar was mostly filled up, several tables with people. I understand it's the week before Thanksgiving but really giving us a beer menu (why???, 4 taps and a few bottled beers) and the regular menu, walking away and then "chatting up" the females at the bar and NEVER checking to see how we are doing. I'm... More

Looked forward to coming back after several year absence. Disappointed. Service fine at start but no water refill until asked and coffee cup well dry before more added. Very very loud crowd of students at the bar--and it and the restaurant called the Tavern are the same small room. Clam chowder excellent. Wished I could have said that about the... More

This odd shaped restaurant offers great food in the best location. Of course the chowder has to be tried, but everything on the menu was top notch.

This was our favorite overall Restaurant Week meal. The clam chowder was excellent. Everyone told us it would be, and they were right. We will be back for that throughout the winter. The lamb was perfectly cooked, and the key lime pie was the perfect finish. We've had some brilliant courses over the last 2 weeks, getting to know the... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Black Pearl. We did not have a reservation and decided to have a drink in the bar while we waited; it was not long before a table became available. The menu offered plenty of choice. We both chose soup and fish - delicious. Service was very good and we enjoyed the friendly atmosphere... More

I have a relative that LOVES this restaurant. Since I was in town for a few days, I thought I would check it out. We arrived around 7pm for dinner. The bar area was not heavily occupied, so we thought we would sit in there as we had a baby with us. I was surprised that they sat us at... More

Six of us dined at the Black Pearl on a Friday night during Restaurant Week and while we liked the price of the 3-course prix fixe menu for $35/person, we were disappointed in the food and service. The waiter had a bit of an attitude and the food was only average. My wild boar osso bucco was tough, and difficult... More

We visited in mid-October. It was the perfect weather day so dining alfresco was perfect. My husband got the clam chowder. It was love! My daughter and I split a salad and ordered burgers...which hit the spot. Good location, good food, good service.

We had a reservation for 10 after our conference at the Marriott property. Easy walking distance. They were ready upon our arrival, although we chose to add another table to accommodate us all. Our waitress was prompt, efficient, and knowledgeable. There was a small wait between appetizers and food, but that is frequently the case with larger groups. Having seen... More
