We were looking forward to a really amazing dinner while we were in town. We were so disappointed... the lobster I the appetizer was tough both my dinner and my husbands were terrible. Everything was one note and tasted the same. There was only one texture on the plate and the flavors were not good. I was so sick after... More

This is my favorite restaurant in Newport. Great food, nice bar, and the Boom Boom Room is always good when its open. Don't do Newport without visiting this place.

We have gone to this restaurant because of the entertainment . They have a great band called the Foreverly Brothers and they are excellent. They sing favorites from the 1960s through the 1980s and do a great job with their singing and guitars. They perform around 9 or 10.

The Cooke House is always our last gastronomical stop on our Newport trip and it's because the food is fresh and unique. While the standard menu is great, we can always count on a unique special, like wild boar with dates. We visited on New Years Eve and were not disappointed. Although they had a special menu that was limited,... More

After years of dining in the Club Room, having wonderful meals and great service (thanks Jeffrey), as a couple and with friends and family, our positive feelings about Clarke Cooke have been marred by our experience with Jeannie Sullivan---she could not have been ruder or more arrogant, and all we did was ask for a reservation!! How sad for the... More

My husband and I went for a really nice romantic dinner. Food was good and even though there there isnt a really nice view of the water, its right in the heart of Newport and a very popular spot. I dont think I would bring the kids but it was nice for a special night out.

We went in a Thursday night and we seated immediately. We had seafood bisque and sole. Some of the best seafood I have had in a long time. I highly recommend this place for seafood. Reasonable prices and delicious food.

Everytime we visit Newport this place is always a must! Get there early grab a seat at the downstairs bar and enjoy drinks while watching the sunset over the ocean and boats pass you by! The food is always great too. Make sure to try the candy store burger & fries.

I absolutely LOVE the Cooke House. As a local, I hardly go anywhere else. This is by far, one of the most exciting restaurants during the summer season. It's always packed and there's always a wait. During the winter, it's super-cozy, especially when the fireplaces are going! What's really cool is that it contains MULTIPLE FLOORS (3-4?) of dining and... More
