I got pasta with pesto and tomatoes and cheese, it had way too much salt. I'm surprised I didn't die of a heart attack right there. My brother got the natural burger with fries and said his fries were coated with salt...and not in a good way.

We go here all the time. You wont be disappointed. Menu is big enough to please anyone and they have beer too. Good food and TONS of whiskey to choose from. Nice beer selection too.

Met friends on a Sunday they only have a small menu on Sundays why I dont know-- their regular menu looked good but only had a few choices hmmm. Burgers were big and juicy-great for 10.00 arugula salad very small like a side salad for 10.00 so I shared some of my fish and chip which was good. Very pretty... More

Malt is just a wonderful place. The food, the atmosphere, the staff - it is just wonderful. There are so many options in Newport but we keep coming back to Malt. It is just that good. They have recently added some new menu items. Just delicious. Thanks Tom and Chelynn for giving us our go to spot for dinner.

This is a great bar with great craft beer and great service. Tom the owner is often behind the bar and has a great following from his days at Aidan's. It is also a very friendly bar with regulars who come in like clockwork. It can get busy and sometimes noisy with large parties-if this is a concern speak up.... More

Stopped in for dinner with a bunch of co-workers based upon my suggestion. We were a party of 7. We started with the Calamari which seemed a bit bland and possibly previously frozen. I had the Steak Frites which was very good. It came with French fries which I believe were addicting. They were hot and seasoned perfectly. A couple... More

We came to the island for a Navy graduation, this was the best dinner we had. The burger was great. The beer was awesome, wine and cocktails also fantastic. The cheese plate is highly recommended! We knew about this place, as when we arrived on the island late after a day of flying from the southwest, we found the bar... More

Malt is very good for both microbrews and excellent, unique and standard food choices in Newport which tends to be pricey and crowded in season. We went last night ...locals...and found the beer selections to be huge both in drafts and bottles with a wide variety of American and International labels...largest in Newport by far. We had mussels to start with... More

My boyfriend and I were vacationing for a long weekend in Newport and were looking for a place to take a break and have a drink in the afternoon. We were tired of the "touristy" locations on Thames and were hoping for something a little more normal and regular folks. It was a chilly afternoon and we had our hearts... More

Small menu and expensive. None of the items on the small menu seemed appealing, so my colleague and I got the fish and chips and a burger. The fish and chips weren't any good. Two big pieces of fish that tasted like grease. My colleague didn't even finish his burger. Was hard to find the server even with it being... More
