The hubby and I wanted a place where we can have a drink and hear subdued music as opposed to loud rock and this hit the spot. It was as if I was sitting at at lounge in SOHO, NYC. The only reason I did'nt give 5 stars because they do not have moscato and a wing option for appetizer... More

My wife and I went to spend the weekend with our friends at their home in Newport, R.I. We had a great time and on Friday, we all went to the Grill Forty 1 North for dinner. We were shown to our table and given menus. They took our drink orders and in a short time, we had our drinks.... More

The view of Newport and all the yachts, sailboats and various other boats from your water front tables. I had the fish sandwich and it was really light. My husband had the burger and loved it. The drinks were really great. Our server was exceptional. We went there for lunch and it was perfect. The down side was we had... More

We ate at Forth 1 North on our last night in Newport and it was absolutely delicious! We were seated at a table facing the sunset, which added onto our wonderful experience. The servers were all very attentive and the food was spectacular! The seafood off the menu is great and definitely ask the server for his suggestions. We went... More

The food arrived cold for some in our party, others got undercut fish. Service was slow and unable to correct any of the problems. On top of that, I don't believe that the food if served hot would have been much better. Completely overpriced. And unless you want a loud dance club atmosphere or don't care to speak with anyone... Sitting at the Grill among the grand yachts and watching the harbor is great, almost makes you forget about the good food you ordered.

The location was wonderful but that was just about all that was was great. We had lunch here and the food was only average but expensively priced and portions were just fair. Service was not good; we we had to wait quite a while for our entrees and even to get our water glasses refilled. Would not rush back -... More

Wonderful location, upscale hotel and marina. We've been coming here for several years and the restaurant is quite bad. Its a hip south beach scene, with eclectic music blasting everywhere so you can't even have a dinner conversation. The food has been all over the place - sometimes good, sometimes terrible. The service is terrible. Young staff, unsupervised more interested... More

A menu that had promise, somewhat pricey, but a great view and location. So maybe worth the extra money. The service was slow. Two of the people waiting on us didn't speak English well enough to answer our questions. The servers were attractive European women, there for the summer experience. But it was the food that disappointed us the most.... More

The atmosphere is great. Right at the water, this is really beautiful. But don't go there when you love food and good service. We had as an appetizer a Ravioli with a sauce that was so terrible: Like jellied water, besides that the Ravioli itself didn't have any flavor. Unbelievable! The steak was good, but this was not really difficult... More
