Service was great, Jose, one of the bartenders was just super! The food at the bar was just ok. Salad was average and small, coffee was cold and dessert was just adequate.

This place is overpriced, overrated, and unfriendly. The only good thing I can say about it is that it is beautiful and I would only go back for a drink at the bar. Service was very slow and the restaurant was not crowded for a Friday night. Server did not check on us. One ordered a strip steak, rare, came... More

It's a great atmosphere, but that's all I can say. The service was so so and server was uninteresting on waiting on us. The salmon was not tasty and under the impression that it was frozen. Steak was under book. Skip it for dinner and just go for drinks...

We had a late lunch,2pm, and unlike some of the other reviewers, the noise level was down and the service good. 6 of us had very tasty lobster rolls, a reasonable price of $22. The hamburger was large and cooked perfectly. The fried fish sandwich was also large and delicious. Lovely view of the harbor and the yachts.

We were a party of eight on a Saturday night in August, and this was the only restaurant that could accommodate us. They first put us on the deck, as requested, to watch the sunset. But the bar scene was incredibly noisy, with the drinkers bumping into us. At our request, the staff moved us inside to peace and quiet.... More

We finally stopped by Forty 1 North for a drink recently and are we glad we did. The location is perfectly located in downtown Newport and the setup of tables and conversation seating is just beautiful. When it first opened, you had to have a membership to get in, but that has changed and it is open to the public.... More

The hubby and I wanted a place where we can have a drink and hear subdued music as opposed to loud rock and this hit the spot. It was as if I was sitting at at lounge in SOHO, NYC. The only reason I did'nt give 5 stars because they do not have moscato and a wing option for appetizer... More

My wife and I went to spend the weekend with our friends at their home in Newport, R.I. We had a great time and on Friday, we all went to the Grill Forty 1 North for dinner. We were shown to our table and given menus. They took our drink orders and in a short time, we had our drinks.... More

The view of Newport and all the yachts, sailboats and various other boats from your water front tables. I had the fish sandwich and it was really light. My husband had the burger and loved it. The drinks were really great. Our server was exceptional. We went there for lunch and it was perfect. The down side was we had... More

We ate at Forth 1 North on our last night in Newport and it was absolutely delicious! We were seated at a table facing the sunset, which added onto our wonderful experience. The servers were all very attentive and the food was spectacular! The seafood off the menu is great and definitely ask the server for his suggestions. We went... More
