Enjoyed a very good lunch at New Ports Tokyo House. I chose to eat at the sushi bar vice taking a table so I can watch it being made. I enjoyed the Tri-Color sushi which comes with either Miso soup or salad. The salad was pre-made which was a disappointment as there was water in the bottom of the bowl,... More

Very fresh, well prepared, everything we ordered was delicious. We covered a good sampling of the menu, as we had not been to a sushi place in a few months and were craving everything. Our server was attentive, patient (we took a while deciding), and service was excellent. Will definitely be returning.

This really is not a 5 star sushi place. However, with so much of Newport being a rip off (with crazy prices and snobby people), that finding a good restaurant with fair prices is definitely 5 stars. The Salmon Skin Handrolls were so incredible; hot and crunchy and perfect. Sushi Deluxe was yummy but the pieces were a bit on... More

We went here for dinner one night when we visited Newport, because we already had seafood for lunch, and wanted something different. Seafood is great in Newport, but if you want something different and like Asian food, I highly recommend this place. The service was great and we had the combination platter that came with soup or salad, the main... More

-My three-year-old's first Japanese steakhouse experience--fire caught him a little off-guard, but he loved it overall. -Nice, tender filet mignon (the FM is about $3.00 more than the regular steak--totally worth it). -Cheerful, fun staff--from the hostess to the chef. -Perfect portion size. -My only regret is not getting the chicken-steak combination (another $3.00). Chicken looked delicious! -Free street parking... More

We were pleasantly surprised by our first visit to the Newport Tokyo House. We expected good sushi and sashimi so close to the ocean but were surprised by the quantity and low price. We ordered the Newport Bridge dinner and received numerous pieces of sashimi, assorted sushi and two specialty rolls. Although each piece was delicious, the two of us... More

I did not expect a Japanese restaurant of this quality in Newport. It is simply wonderful. The sushi is outstanding, the saki is hot and the staff is cheerful, helpful & skilled.

Not the best meal for Japanese food. The waitress do not understand English. The prices were reasonable.
