In Newport, restaurants are aplenty. The Pier, on Howard Wharf, is one to include while in the seaport city. On a beautiful evening, we were seated on the open patio adjoining the pier. Fresh air, boats coming and going, and a sunset to die for set the stage for a fabulous meal. Choosing seafood dishes, they were prepared perfectly, with... More

Love the pier! I'm taking advantage of their fabulous deck before this cold winter ahead of us Rhodies!!! I had Dwayne, as my server; he was decent, needs to be more attentive for sure. Still gave at least 21%. I had a dozen littlenecks; delicious, but you can't mess those up . I have had fish tacos, previously; delicious !... More

Outdoor dining, great setting, decent service. After that it was all downhill. Stopped for drinks 7:00, saw sunset, decided to stay. Chicken marsala, ravioli, and scampi below par but salmon and calamari good. Extremely long wait for meal. Said there'd been accident in kitchen. Noticed large party indoors on way out. Heater on cool night good until it ran out of... More

Stopped by The Pier for a late lunch and was very pleased. The drinks were strong, the food was very good and the view was amazing. The pier was full of multi-million dollar yachts and the weather was perfect. We enjoyed clams, burgers, fries and fish while listening to the soft-rock music in the background. Our servers were friendly and... More

Stopped for lunch and were very disappointed. The bar service was good and drinks were generous. However the food did not measure up. I had a Caprese salad with tasteless tomatoes in season, and a mozzarella cheese that was dry. Only the balsamic glaze was good. Others in the party were not impressed and felt that the outdoor specials were... More

I don't usually write negative reviews, but this one is worthy of my worst because I don't think this restaurant deserves the patronage it receives (by nature of it's fabulous location). Maybe go for drinks so that you can enjoy the views... I've been three times since the management changed, yet again and all three times, it's been abominable (I... More

Wasn't expecting too much after reading the reviews. Stopped in for lunch on a breezy summer day. We were seated right away at an outdoor table. Server was very pleasant. Started off with a Bahama Mama - was great and it packed quite a punch. For lunch we ordered the fish tacos and the lobster roll. Yum on both accounts!... More

We both had the lobster roll which was very good. The roll tasted homemade and buttered and grilled. The only issue I had was way too much celery in the lobster. It's not needed and detracts from the fresh lobster. You can get the same quality if not a little better in Naragansett. At $22 I thought the pricing was... More

My husband and I stopped here for lunch and were very disappointed. I had a caper se salad and it was made with tasteless tomatoes, even though this is the height of tomato season. My husband ordered the fried clams and said it was ok. The wait staff sure knew the meaning of the word wait. We waited for anyone... More
