At the end of our walk through Newport we always stop for an ice cream at kilwin's. We like to walk along THAMES STREET and look around before retiring to our rooms for the evening and no better way to end the night than a dish or cone of their ice cream .

Cute candy/ice cream shop! Had the Newpor mud ice cream - vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips and caramel. AWESOME! Would make this a definite stop any time in Newport!

If you're looking for a delicious chocolate shop and don't mind paying a little more money this is definitely worth a look at. They have a variety of sugary treats and you can smell the chocolate before you walk in. Their fudge is superb more creamy than overtly sugary and is very fresh. My favorite candies are the salted caramel... More

We have been here a few times and they really do have great ice cream, but $5 for a single scoop, in my opinion, is excessive. I got 2 ice creams and a chocolate bunny and it was over $21! I would say that you WILL get good ice cream here, so at the very least, if you're going to... More

There was nothing to dislike about Kilvin's. I bought several pieces of different kinds of dark chocolates and a few marzipan pieces. All were sooooooo good. I am a chocolate snob and usually prefer European chocolated, but Kilwin's is a keeper. I cannot wait to return to try their ice cream, they have pistachio!!

This is a stop each time were in Newport. We love the ice cream, chocolate covered Oreo's & s'mores. If you love dessert you must try. Located right on Americas cup, you can't miss it.

We had delicious pumpkin ice cream and peppermint candy ice cream recently. However, we bought a piece of chocolate walnut fudge - ($8 for a slice!)...and were disappointed when we got back to our hotel room to find out it was stale. For premium fudge at premium prices, we would expect freshness.
