Yummy food

We did drinks and appetizers and small plates. The nachos are wonderful and the small plates, especially the empanadas, were wonderful as was the sangria. And, they have a children's menu too.

We have come to Diegos for their fish tacos all year. They are usually excellent. Today I ordered them and the fish was not served in seared pieces but shredded and mushy (see photo). It was like fish flavored baby food. I asked the servers and they assured me this was the proper way. Then our sodas came out flat-the... More

What is there not to love about Diegos? (okay, besides the fact that it's usually insanely crowded and tough to get reservations for a group larger than two?) But seriously, the food here is amazing and the menu is all over the place. Lots to choose from and not just your typical Mexican fare: Zesty Lamb Burrito? Yes, please!! You... More

Never knew this place existed. Love the back door alley out of the way location. Margueritas are awesome and the BEST guacamole I ever had.

We visited Diego's after a day trip of parasailing the food was amazing, the portions were hearty and the prices were fair. The guacamole appetizer was amazing. The outside atmosphere was perfect. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. All of the ingredients were fresh and you could taste the difference. Delicious. Must try.

Had a few drinks and an appetizer here on the fist occasion and returned a second time for a meal. Excellent on both occasion, with the nachos being something special. Although not truly authentic, it served very good Mexican dishes. The downside of Diego's is you are on the quayside with no water view.

Try the hibiscus mimosas. SO refreshing. Breakfast is full of awesome choices. We got the smoked salmon quesadillas, breakfast burrito, grilled avocado hash, and all were phenomenal. We only stayed in town for 3 days but came to eat here twice. Diego's is awesome and we'll be back for sure!!!

It was a very busy Sunday afternoon, the weather was beautiful so Newport was extremely busy. We found a nice table and loved the food and service. It was so good we went back the next day!

Put our names in and had to wait 20 minutes for a table but it was well worth it. We had the chips with 4 salsas plus the guacamole, glad we added it on because it was one of the best I ever had. My wife had the chicken quesadilla and enjoyed it and I had rock shrimp and chorizo... More

My wife and I always try to go there every time we visit newport. Their food is fresh, clean and just looks great...never mind taste great. We don't always bring our dog, but we were pleasantly surprised how welcoming the staff was when we arrived looking for food.
