Consistently excellent!

Dishes are complex but flavors always work! We have made this our splurge dinner ashore on several sailing vacations and Tallulahs never disappoints! Wine pairings were perfect complements to the food. Favorites were the fried green tomatoes and the charred broccolli (and I don't like broccoli!)

Burnt grilled broccoli appetizer; inedibly tough and tasteless octopus (reviewer is a frequent eater of octopus); overall, we got scant food for too many dollars.

For a true gourmand experience, look no further than Tallulah on Thames. Combining a casual and charming atmosphere with excellent dining and friendly service, Tallulah is a standout in the Newport dining scene. Reservations required.

Fresh seasonal food, expertly prepared, but prices are astronomical and portions are TINY. Wines by bottle start at $50. For the price I'd rather eat at elegant Bouchard or Inn at Castle hill, not a lower Thames Street fixer-upper with no parking. Pretentious and over-rated.

this is a different type of restaurant and you will be amaized by the work the chef does to turn in season foods into a treat to eat and behold. smaller portions are served as you would have overseas. but what you get is so good you will want to come back again. The food is made from scratch from... More

If you like fine dining in a quaint setting, come here. Each dish was gorgeous and well plated. The flavors were unique and the desserts were the best I've ever had. Highly recommended for the food quality. Only complaint: service was slow. It took about 3 hours to serve and eat 4 courses.

I like food, specifically I like creative food. I am the person who will spend hours researching the most exciting restaurants in whatever city/place I'm visiting next before even booking the hotel. Service and display are 5/5, restaurant space is quaint, not too loud or too quiet. It did not feel pretentious at all and pricing is really, really reasonable.... More

We ate there last night on a whim and it was a lovely meal. The service was attentive without being over bearing, the food was unique, seasonal and delicious and we enjoyed the relaxed elegance of the atmosphere. Great music too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Tallulah on Thames is not your typical restaurant. It only serves dinner, except brunch a few Sundays. But most importantly the food is wonderful. They create combinations of foods and seasonings that are unique and very creative. I don't mean weird. Every course of our four course diner had us saying, "this is really delicious". European size servings still satisfied... More

This was my first dining experience at Tallulah's with my boyfriend during a busy weekend for Newport (May 16, 2015). We were very excited to eat here given the reviews, wanted to try something other than the usual Newport restaurants and have no problem with a prix fixed menu. The shining light at this place is its wonderful, pleasant and... More
