An amazing "foodie" experience

Came here for my birthday and was pleasantly surprised. EVERY item that came out was visually stunning and the taste profile blew my mind. The foie gras is absolutely fabulous! It was better than the ones I had in France!! Hats off to the head chef/owner Jake Rojas. We will definitely be... read more

We were referred by the NYTimes 36 Hours in Newport, RI article. The street front dining space at Tallulah is approachable but the experience that awaits you inside is like another world into itself. You will find a tastefully appointed, extremely charming interior with an unobtrusive view of the kitchen staff as they work. The food is fresh, tender, DELICIOUS... More

Jake Rojas really is one of the most talented chefs I know. My husband has a culinary background and I work in the wine business so we've eaten in a lot of cities and in a lot of places and I can honestly say Jake is one of the most talented chefs we know. He's progressive, his food is innovative... More

We loved our meal, wish we had returned the next night too! This was one of the best meals I ever had, and certainly the best in my many years of traveling to RI.

The food was wonderful .Expertly paired by the chef to go with expensive uneven wines from California. The evening was delightful. The evening began with everyone having wine and starters together. The staff circulated with delicious things while we all had a visit. It was the warmth of the hospitality as well as the quality of the cooking that made the evening such a... I am giving Tallulah on Thames 3 stars and one of those is for the wine. Service extremely slow even for the dining experience. Our wine was gone before we got our meal because we waited a very long time to be served each course. First course we both had the scallop crudo which only has one word to describe... More

The finest dining experience in Newport means you may have to wait a bit while they craft your artwork on a plate. But it's totally worth it. Great knowledgable, friendly staff. Dishes that knock our socks off every time we visit. (We get to come here twice a year.) for us, it's the top dining experience in Newport. Make a... More

my boyfriend took me here, one of the restaurants that I have always died to try- I have been for a dinner there as well which was a great experience. (trash fish dinner). The tasting menu is such a well- worth it experience. The Chef and his wife care about every guests experience and always come out to say hi... More

First things first: I really liked the food at Tallulah, and the waitress was great. Unfortunately, other aspects of the dining experience really hurt the overall experience (I'm giving it a 3 rating, but that's just an average of some 1s and some 5s). We were seated on time, and were quickly provided water and, relatively quickly, a bottle of... More

I couldn't believe this place is ranked #11, if you took off one of the 1's in eleven and it was ranked #1, I would be less surprised. I have been too many times to count and I can tell you one thing, the food is ridiculous, and this is one very talented chef. Granted it's a seasonal tasting menu... More
