Great Irish Pub

Great little place ... Bar is decorated with police department patches from all over! Bartender was great and our meal awesome ... Loved the French onion soup and you can't beat the thick cut corned beef in the Reuben!

We arrived in Newport the day after Winter Storm Jonas, and the Busker's was quiet when we went in for a light evening meal, ordering off the appetisers menu. Spouse ordered the cheese toasties and fries with garlic mayo; I ordered fries with curry sauce. I would also have ordered chicken tenders, but (especially with current CAN/US $ exchange rates)... Stopped for lunch on MLK day. Wow! What a selection of Scotches and Irish and American whiskeys. Wife had thick cut Reuben sandwich and I had the Fish sandwich. Both were very good. Cole slaw was was even good. Nice staff and neat place inside.

Buskers is a cozy Irish pub in Newport. My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a chilly afternoon. Atmosphere is what you would expect from a pub. Food and service were good. We both had the "Irish" onion soup and then split a corned beef Rueben. Both were good as well as our draught ales. Prices are reasonable.

We went to Buskers for a quick late afternoon lunch. It was small but has two floors. (if you like to people watch go upstairs) The atmosphere has allot of Irish paraphernalia all over the place which is typical of a true Irish pub. We got a typical Rueben and was surprised that the meat was thick cut and tender... More

We were wandering and starving. Happened into this Irish pub. The wait was minimal and service was fast. Had a burger and fries which to our delight were authentic Irish chips cooked like they should be. The burger was incredible like a mince meat. I'll be back again.

Quaint Irish pub, good food, great assortments of beers and cocktails. Both times we had the chicken salad with cranberry sauce, apple slices and brie on toasted bread - EXCELLENT. The fries were very good the first time but too salty the second time we ate there. The second time we got nachos and they were some of the best... More

Great Irish pub with a wonderful assortment of authentic Irish food and beers; lots of non-Irish food and drink as well. Extensive selection of single malt Scotch whisky as well as Irish whiskey and others. Just finished our meal when the entertainment started, and we could have lingered to watch and listen, because the Smithwick Irish Ales were going down... More

We visited with family for lunch on Black Friday, a very busy shopping day, so I must state this upfront. The poor staff was working very hard to keep pace and lines were out the door. Service was very slow but understandable on this day. Food was good but not outstanding. No complaints but nothing to compliment either. Our table... More

Had dessert here many years ago during Valentine's Day. Today, we finally stopped in for lunch (for a change, as there are so many Newport Restaurants to choose from, and we take turns hitting a lot of them). We had a great meal. This is as close to authentic Irish as you can get in an Irish Tavern. The Potato... More
