Good pub food

Stopped in for supper last night after a day at the Volvo Ocean Race. The waiter was very helpful with the menu and hi lighted the new items. My wife chose the mahimahi which was excellent. I had some chowder and the homemade burger. Both very good. An above average pub in the heart of town

Came into town on a Sunday afternoon when every restaurant and bar were packed so we came back the next day, sat at the bar and had drinks and lunch. I had the smoked salmon plate, absolutely delicious and served authentically with Irish black bread, Irish butter (I chose cream cheese instead), capers and diced red onion. Yum! My husband... More

Stopped in for light dinner. The chowder was thick, creamy and loaded with tender clams and potatoes. Definitely fresh. Excellent salads and good hearty food. An unexpected treat. Terrific beer selection. Knowledgable and friendly staff. Nice crowd. We will be back.

My husband and I arrived in Newport on a foggy Friday evening after a long flight from Arizona. We were so hungry! We stopped at 1 restaurant with an hour wait. So we kept walking Thames St. not knowing what other restaurants were there. We found Busker's, an Irish Pub and Restaurant. Even though it was busy we got seated... More

My girlfriend and I went there for dinner on a Saturday right around 5 PM. The service was a little bit slow but another server stopped by to help put our drink order in. The beer list was good (they had a Green Flash tap takeover) and our first server was quite knowledgeable about the beer selections. The food was... More

I had a bowl of NE Clam Chowder, which was excellent - creamy with tender clams and potatoes. The Welsh Rarebit was also a surprising treat! I had never had it before and it was delicious! When I was there, there was a singer playing guitar, and the volume was perfect. Sometimes live music can be too loud to enjoy... More

went with my wife and two small children- made sure we went early (about 3) so we'd not interfere w bar crowd- They were totally cool w our kids (1.5 and 4.5 yrs old) and made us feel welcome. Food was great and they even altered menu for our daughters "discerning tastes". A proper poured Guinness and well made drinks... More

We went here with a group of friends and the bartenders and severs were just bummed or tired or something. We just had one and left because we felt like a burden. Unfortunate because the a atmosphere was nice and the whiskey selection great!
