Have been going to cafe rio for years. Why ? Disappointment rate is less than 1%. Quality is consistent and the value is there. Their stuffed peppers is fenominal but it is not an everyday dish. Salads are large and worth the time to savor .

Cafe Rio is our go to place so naturally when we are traveling and it's late, we search for a Rio rather than finding a drive thru. This one we will not be returning to. The floors and kitchen were a mess! The special is fideo on Fridays and the only guy on the front line didn't know what it... More

A number of reviews complain that the food is not real Mexican, but American or Utah-Mexican and that the wait is too long. I love real Mexican food, but I also lover American-Mexican and Cafe Rio has some very distinctive offerings that are quite good. Fresh tortillas made in front of you and you guide them as to what you... More

Cafe rio is great If you want to pay $10 for a head of lettuce. Palacing an Order is like trying to teach a toddler chemistry. More often then not you will find that the toddler got your order wrong, which you can either deal with or go back through the hour long line to get what you actually ordered.... More

If you haven't been to Cafe Rio yet, you are probably visiting or passing through Utah. There are several dozen locations in the state including one at the SLC airport and a few in neighboring states. I have been to most UT restaurants because I use them to cater food for my job. But, I also take my family when... More

I always get the pork salad. I cut the whole thing in half and save it for the next day. I just really wish they had a drive thru!

Long lines make you think something awesome is waiting for you, but... Well the food is ok. They fix it fresh in front of you, so you can tell them exactly what you want. You choose your dish and then the beans and sauce you want and then there is a second station, where they add lettuce and such. The... More

I don't know why this place is always busy. I've gone here several times over the last few years and each time I say I'll never go back. The good isn't bad it's just not what I consider Mexican food. I like spicy and this place is on the other side of the spectrum.

Cafe Rio is definitely a family favorite for us. We eat here often because it always so good & the fact that it is about a mile from our home helps too! The pork burrito is definitely our favorite but they also have great salads too! Thanks Cafe Rio for great food that is hot & fresh every time!!!

Not bad for a quick fast food Mexican place. We don't live in the area, so our first time here. Only issue was a very rude and inpatient worker on the assembly line (granted, it was very busy). We asked at the register for that workers name and if we could speak to manager real quick..."Who her,? Oh, she is... More
