Cafe rio is great If you want to pay $10 for a head of lettuce. Palacing an Order is like trying to teach a toddler chemistry. More often then not you will find that the toddler got your order wrong, which you can either deal with or go back through the hour long line to get what you actually ordered.... More

If you haven't been to Cafe Rio yet, you are probably visiting or passing through Utah. There are several dozen locations in the state including one at the SLC airport and a few in neighboring states. I have been to most UT restaurants because I use them to cater food for my job. But, I also take my family when... More

I always get the pork salad. I cut the whole thing in half and save it for the next day. I just really wish they had a drive thru!

Long lines make you think something awesome is waiting for you, but... Well the food is ok. They fix it fresh in front of you, so you can tell them exactly what you want. You choose your dish and then the beans and sauce you want and then there is a second station, where they add lettuce and such. The... More

I don't know why this place is always busy. I've gone here several times over the last few years and each time I say I'll never go back. The good isn't bad it's just not what I consider Mexican food. I like spicy and this place is on the other side of the spectrum.

Cafe Rio is definitely a family favorite for us. We eat here often because it always so good & the fact that it is about a mile from our home helps too! The pork burrito is definitely our favorite but they also have great salads too! Thanks Cafe Rio for great food that is hot & fresh every time!!!

Not bad for a quick fast food Mexican place. We don't live in the area, so our first time here. Only issue was a very rude and inpatient worker on the assembly line (granted, it was very busy). We asked at the register for that workers name and if we could speak to manager real quick..."Who her,? Oh, she is... More

Don't you hate it when your food is dry and flavorless? Well head over to Cafe Rio and you won't be disappointed. #1 Their meat is always fresh, hot, and juicy and comes with an explosion of flavor. #2 Their tortillas are handmade right in front of you and are to die for. #3 Lastly their sauces are smothered over... Although many restaurants have tried to copy the magic of Cafe Rio, I think Cafe Rio still is the number one americanized mexican restaurant in the area. Definatley not authentic mexican, but very tasty food nonetheless.

Now, this is NOT authentic mexican by any means. This is Utah-mex. But seriously, when you taste that pulled pork salad, you just don't care. It is so good. The crowds and ever-present lines prove it. Everyone loves Cafe Rio, for good reason. Try the mint-limeade too!
