Poppyseed is one of our favorite restaurants. Food has always been of high quality. Because of this, we visited Poppyseed on Saturday. As always, we were greeted promptly and seated. Server service was very good. My wife, ordered the chicken wrap. As always , the wrap was fresh, loaded with chicken. For myself, ordered a Reuben. The Reuben was served... More

Great restaurant for salads and sandwiches. It is a great gathering place for friends and family. Go early or late for lunch always crowded at noon.

There are numerous chain restaurants close to the McKinley Mall, but the Poppyseed has them beat. It is small and you sometimes must wait for a table. There is no bar to wait in, just a small front area. The table turnover is fairly quick, though. The restaurant is almost all booths and comfortable lighting. Open for lunch and dinner,... More

I love this restaurant! I have been going here for years and chose it for my birthday lunch. There is a nice selection of everything-and many vegetarian dishes so my youngest was very happy! No reservations-so we went a little early to be sure we could have seating for 8 including a highchair. Service was excellent!- and most pleasant. My... More

We had dinner on sunday and it was very quiet. Mrs. had chicken and vegetables and I had shrimp and chorizo. Both excellent and we would order again. Service was quick The room was nice and overall, a good experience.

A friend and I stopped here for a meal after a nearby craft show. We ordered french onion soup which was rich and delicious. Then we had salads with grilled chicken and a variety of toppings, the salads were huge and extremely fresh tasting. We ended taking a good portion of the salads home for a later meal. Service was... The moroccan tuna salad is out of this world as is the jamican chicken salad and so many other options. My husband and I split the scallop pasta the last time we stopped in to eat. It's a large portion and the waitress kindly split the pasta inot two separate bowls for us and served them both hot and melty... More

Any time I'm travelling in the Buffalo area, I eat at The Poppyseed. It is SO nice to find good, vegetarian food. Don't miss the home made potato chips. Great food, great service, exciting menu choices. Highly recommended.

On a day of shopping with my two friends in the USA, a US customs officer suggested for us to eat here for dinner. OMG, what a great place! We arrived about 6:30 and we able to be seated right away (the place was almost full). Great menu, too many yummy things to choose from! My two friends both had... More

I have never left Poppyseed unhappy or hungry! This is a regular favorite of ours and one we're not afraid to tell friends about. It's a smaller restaurant so the wait can get a bit long occasionally, but we generally don't have a problem getting in. Their food is outstanding, ranging from sandwiches and paninis, to pastas and Dirty Rice.... More
