I was in a party of 5 who recently dined at Tempo for a celebratory evening. We arrived early and enjoyed our cocktails at the bar served by a very attentive staff Once seated our server was terrific in providing our requests with a flawless and timely fashion. Everyone enjoyed their chosen meal very much and there was definitely not... More

Not only is it one of the most charming Buffalo restaurants, the food is terrific. The service is spaced just right for a lovely dining experience. From the first course to the last, every morsel is to die for!

Why a "3" Rating.Made a reservation , seated 45 minutes later.Main course of lamb lacked imagination,,,2 large pieces of lamb with spinach and beans...not too exciting.Service polite and prompt but made you feel just another plate. When you spend a lot of money and the only thing you really liked is the pistachio ice cream something is wrong.Mikes and Rue Franklin... One of the best upscale restaurants in Buffalo. When busy, it can be pretty loud, making conversation difficult, but the food is always a treat.

This was our second visit to Tempo in the last 5 years and it was really nice to see they have maintained their standards over that time. Our meal was delicious, portions were large and the service was really excellent. This meal did however rank up there with some of the most expensive meals we've had, it was definitely the... More

Our large party (9) sat at a long table in the bar of this lovely restaurant. We all had a large lunch that day so ordered light--most of us had a salad and appetizer. The food was excellent (I had a wonderful mixed green salad with dried cranberries and mussels). My only complaint was the broth the mussels cooked in... More

The service and menu selection was good for a "4" score but the excess salt in everyone's entree brought down this rating. Even the gnocchi tasted like salt tablets. The wine and atmosphere was good.

A party of eight of us went for a family dinner on a Friday evening, all of us are from out of Buffalo. The restaurant is elegant and exudes style with better than average service. The menu is vaguely Italian with a reputation for excellent steaks. I started with the Carpaccio which was excellent ($14) and followed it with the... More

The restaurant is attractive and the wait staff was attentive. We thought the prices were high enough (really quite expensive) that the restaurant should have had a sommelier or wine captain. I had branzino and my partner had the filet mignon and it would have been helpful to have some guidance on a wine that might bridge the gap between... More

First time overnight in downtown Buffalo, our hotel was in an area called Allentown; close to the university. We spotted Tempo and, despite the very pricey menu, wanted to give it a try. My wife had the salmon dinner and I had the Caesar salad($11) and scallop appetizer special($14). The service was attentive and efficient and food creative and excellent;... More
