One of the best upscale restaurants in Buffalo. When busy, it can be pretty loud, making conversation difficult, but the food is always a treat.

This was our second visit to Tempo in the last 5 years and it was really nice to see they have maintained their standards over that time. Our meal was delicious, portions were large and the service was really excellent. This meal did however rank up there with some of the most expensive meals we've had, it was definitely the... More

Our large party (9) sat at a long table in the bar of this lovely restaurant. We all had a large lunch that day so ordered light--most of us had a salad and appetizer. The food was excellent (I had a wonderful mixed green salad with dried cranberries and mussels). My only complaint was the broth the mussels cooked in... More

The service and menu selection was good for a "4" score but the excess salt in everyone's entree brought down this rating. Even the gnocchi tasted like salt tablets. The wine and atmosphere was good.

A party of eight of us went for a family dinner on a Friday evening, all of us are from out of Buffalo. The restaurant is elegant and exudes style with better than average service. The menu is vaguely Italian with a reputation for excellent steaks. I started with the Carpaccio which was excellent ($14) and followed it with the... More

The restaurant is attractive and the wait staff was attentive. We thought the prices were high enough (really quite expensive) that the restaurant should have had a sommelier or wine captain. I had branzino and my partner had the filet mignon and it would have been helpful to have some guidance on a wine that might bridge the gap between... More

First time overnight in downtown Buffalo, our hotel was in an area called Allentown; close to the university. We spotted Tempo and, despite the very pricey menu, wanted to give it a try. My wife had the salmon dinner and I had the Caesar salad($11) and scallop appetizer special($14). The service was attentive and efficient and food creative and excellent;... More

This was our first dining experience here and our meal was absolutely amazing! The service was top notch and our server was great. We ordered and enjoyed several appetizers which were all delicious. You can order 1/2 orders of pasta entrees as apps. The specials all sounded good. The tilefish was one of the best fish I have ever tasted... More

We ate here last night and I am looking forward to my next visit. We were doing business downtown and happened upon Tempo. The service is great, strong menu and wine knowledge, friendly and attentive. We started with calamari and it was very good, the bread is great. Three of us ordered the special, a veal chop stuffed with sun... More
