I live in the suburbs and like to have dinner when we come into Buffalo for art and theater events. My husband and I had very tasty, well prepared dinners. I enjoy vegetables and had a pasta dish that included sundried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, lots of artichokes, and pasta all topped with goat cheese. It was the best pasta... More

Four of us went to an early dinner at La Dolce Vita on a Friday evening. After good experiences in the past few years here, I was quite disappointed on recent visits. Firstly doors and windows opened wide made the air-conditioning ineffective. The restaurant was hot and stuffy. Secondly, something smelled bad, like someone was sick or there was some... More

My husband and I love this restaurant. We go once a month. We always have a good meal. We always have great service. Its a place where you slow down to talk and enjoy your meal. Its not a place to wolf down your food because you want to make it to a movie. The owner has always been gracious... More

Had a very enjoyable time, we were greeted and seated by the owner Ross. Service was quick and attentive and portions are huge. We both got pasta and you could tell it was all made from scratch. My wife got Fettuccine Della Nonna which had lots of prosciutto and goat cheese, we both thought it was excellent. I got the... More

I dined at La Dolce Vita tonight with 2 friends, we had a 50% off of a $100 dinner bill, which we used. Our portion to pay was $58, and we left $69. The service was bad, we had to ask 3 times for our check and explained that we were trying to make it to a movie, the beverages... More

My wife and I were intrigued by the wide variation in reviews of reviews of this restaurant at this site and others. We were going to view a film on a very cold evening. As I suspected, we were not in any way disappointed with our dinner. The restaurant is small and we were fortunate to find a table for... More

We went here after a wonderful day and had the WORST customer service from the owner himself. Do not ever send anything back at this place as they will not let you order a replacement and will argue with you about it and embarass you in front of the whole place. I cannot even rate the food above as I... More

If you want Italian on Hertel go to Lombardo's or La Marina. The food here is mediocre at best and the wait staff is inexperienced and clueless. The owner was busy flirting with a bunch of women and never paid attention to the constant chaos in the dining room. Too many options to waste time with this place.

My husband and I sampled La Dolce Vita with 2 friends during Restaurant Week. The food was mediocre, they had run out of several items on the menu, and half of my meal came out cold and had to be sent back (only to come back out 1 minute later, obviously microwaved). To taste the side-dishes were bland and my... More

If you are looking to still feel like you are outside then this is the place. last week had dinner at La Dolce Vita Caffe' & Bistro and it was so cold that my dinner was like I took it out of my frig. I guess if you can eat within 2 min. you would enjoy it but if the... More
