Great recovery

Not an auspicious start - a wait on the bustling street for the valet parking, some fifteen minutes before self-service from the bar drew attention to our presence at a table. Not an auspicious start - a wait on the bustling street for the valet parking, some fifteen minutes before self-service from the bar drew attention to our presence at a table. Stopped in while on business in Buffalo. Sat at the bar and enjoyed the wine and Duck. The mussels were also excellent. I highly recommend the place.

My husband and I went to Bacchus before a show at Shea's. We parked at Bacchus and walked to Shea's after dinner. We told our server that we were going to the show, so she made sure that everything came on time so we wouldn't be late. Bacchus offers small plates and large plates. They don't have a huge selection,... More

I booked this restaurant after reading all the positive reviews. The ambiance and décor of this restaurant was very good. We had no problem getting seated. We started off with some cheeses from the cheese menu (we had to ask specifically for the cheese menu, as they weren't given to us with the other menus). We also ordered the carpaccio... More

I had the cauliflower cream soup and Mahi shrimp crusted fish over asparagus. The food came quick and was excellent. Our waitress stopped by several times to see if we were good and the water glass was constantly being filled. The check came timely and we walked across the street to Shea's Theater in plenty of time to catch the... More

I tried 4 new restaurants during local restaurant week and Bacchus was by far the best! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly and the restaurant is beautiful inside. The wine list was very extensive. We started with delicious warm bread with olive oil and vinegar for dipping. I had an amazing chicken dinner that had a crispy, flavorful skin... More

My husband and I came here for our anniversary. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and we're promptly seated. Dan was our server (he was phenomenal). He was knowledgeable of the menu and very attentive. We shared the butternut squash soup. Which was delicious. My husband had the chicken and I had the duck. This... More

My husband & I enjoyed our evening from the time we pulled up to the free valet until we left. On a cold March night with nowhere close to park, valet is most appreciated. Bacchus has an extensive, excellent wine list and an interesting menu full of flavor to satisfy anyone's palate. The ambience is romantic and modern. The service... More

This restaurant will soon be king. The food was exceptional and the ambiance is perfect for city dining... The wine selection and pricing is just right, and the ribeye is too die for. The service is not great, however. We were not met by a hostess when we checked in, and after a few minutes, we found our party and... More

Dining out with dietary restrictions is difficult, moreso when you are far from home. I called Bacchus ahead to ask if they would be willing to work around my restrictions or if I should look elsewhere. The gentleman who answered the phone was knowledgeable, friendly, and reassuring. I made reservations without calling another place. My requests to the chef were... More
