This restaurant & pub was recommended by the hotel I stayed at on nearby Delaware Ave, as I arrived late & wanted to get a late evening dinner & a good beer. The place is really interesting & potentially fun, and so funky that I so much wanted to like this place. I realize it was a Wednesday night though... More

We stopped for a beer at a local sports bar and the Buffalo locals recommended we go to Gabriel's Gate for great wings. It did not disappoint! It's a terrific, not cramped and crowded local spot with very comfortable seating. Service was terrific, and this was after 10:00 PM. The wings were terrific! Well flavored, plump, and cooked perfectly. My... More

Gabriel's Gate is in a classic old row house. They have done a great job of creating good flow in the restaurant while keeping a lot of the original building, including floors, woodwork, ceiling, and more. Very pleasant. But we came for the food. A lunch of Buffalo Wings and Beef inn Welk. Glad we stopped in and glad we... More

I must say I have no complaints about the food or service. But the establishment is disgusting! We were seated by the fireplace that was full of cobwebs. We changed are seat only to have more cobwebs hanging from the lights. I'm afraid to think of what the kitchen looks like. I wouldn't even use the bathroom. So I just... More

The wings were excellent. There were three of us that went here and each of us got 10 wings. I got the hot, another got mild and the third got Cajun. I definitely ate all of the hot and tried both mild and Cajun. Of those two the Cajun was surprisingly good and not as hot as I thought it... More

Horrible service. The waitress greeted us with do you need to order? We had to ask her for specials. Steak was over cooked and my pasta dish was pretty boring.

We read the reviews and the forum threads about which place had the best wings in town. Gabriel's Gate always was near the top, but like all the places it had its detractors. Undeterred, we stopped in for lunch on the Labour Day weekend and had excellent service and delicious food. We would highly recommend a visit. Service was prompt... More

I still cannot understand why this place is so low rated. Some reviewers comment as if it's not a good thing the restaurant's local spirit. Well, for me this is all about it! Locals = genuine! Cozy and friendly, it serves the best Buffalo wings I ever had! Better than Anchor's, for example. Juicier, with a more distinctive sauce. Their... More

Referred here by hotel clerk. Not very busy. Good service. Food was good with large servings. Seemed like a place that the locals would hang out.

I have been here a couple times and have had no issues. Sunday 06/29/2014 will be my last visit. 1.) The place is getting worn down and ghetto looking! I usually go in the evening so this time in the daylight hours was a revelation!! 2.) It smells mildew. 3.) The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting!!! 4.) Why would you have... More
