Discovered this Allentown restaurant about a month ago and have been there three times. Each visit yielded unusual and reasonably priced dishes, and really reasonable and tasty cocktails. Service is friendly and competent. Fellow diners run the gamut of the bohemian lifestyle.

We have eaten here several times when we visit Buffalo on the weekends. The food is always been consistently good. What surprises me is the preparation and quality is extremely good whereas the pricing is modest. We typically order the mussels and white wine sauce. They're fresh. I ordered shrimp and artichoke entrée over rice which was extraordinarily good. Andrew... More

We really enjoyed our visit to Café 59 for lunch. Perfect location in Allentown, where our son has an apartment. Reasonably priced, large portions, great value! They advertise that you can add a cup of soup for just $1.00 when ordering a hot lunch, but what came to our table looked more like a bowl than a cup. We had... More

I work in the Buffalo-Niagara Medical Camput, and on a sunny Friday afternoon, my boss took us (myself and my 3 colleagues) to Cafe 59. We walked there and back, the first plus about this restaurant - we didnt have to deal with Allen Street parking. This restaurant has a very laid back feel to it. When we walked in,... More

I come to Café 59 every opportunity I can and rarely stray from the "entrée salads" menu because they are GIANT and DELICIOUS. The staff are laid back and recognize the "regulars" which is always comforting. Love all the unique treats and beverages that they sell too! Seriously if you haven't been here yet you do not know what you're... More

We went to Cafe 59 for breakfast. They offered 2 options either of which satisfied us. One was your choice of bread - bagel, croissant, bread for toasting - and coffee. The other was a breakfast sandwich with choice of bread, meat, egg, cheese, and coffee, or $1 toward another drink. The atmosphere was fun! We enjoyed the unusual artwork... More

Went at lunchtime this week. After figuring out where to sit and whether or not there was table service my friend and I both ordered sandwiches off the specials. My friend got a turkey club which was huge and I got a delicious wrap with roasted eggplant, sweet potato & Gorgonzola. The woman next to us had the Mediterranean salad,... More

I have been in Buffalo for business over the past several months and I work a few blocks from Cafe 59, so I used to go there often with a couple of co-workers (sometimes several times per week). The food there is fresh and of high quality. The servings are also very generous which is great. On Saturdays they serve... More

Café 59’s menu has something for everyone — and that includes vegans and vegetarians (not many options in town for this demographic, so this is a great option). My choice was from the small plates menu: roasted vegetables, which included eggplant, zucchini, portabella mushrooms, along with fresh field greens and a delicious house balsamic vinaigrette and three pieces of pita....
