Visited the Blue Monk with friends who are regulars. What a great selection of fun beers! We sampled several different types. I look forward to another visit to try their food and more beer!

By far one of the best places to eat in Buffalo. Unique blend of taste inspired by beer lovers. Great beer list for any type of beer lover. The atmosphere is fun but the food is the real star. Anything you get here will satisfy your hunger. If you love good food and beer (who doesn't?) then go here. It... More

After an overtime Sabers hockey win in Buffalo, I went to the Blue Monk for a some good beer and a late night snack. Very good beer selection for the beer geek in you. The menu is limited, but has some great selections with a European twist, pom frit, mussels steamed in beer, stuffed mushrooms..... Forget the diet and enjoy... More

We stopped in Saturday afternoon. Took my elderly mother too. We love the food quality here. It's a lively entertaining ambience. Waitstaff is good. Food prep is extraordinarily good. I have a seafood paella which was out of this world. I liked it better than the ones I got in Spain. My wife actually ordered spaghetti and meatballs which seemed... More

The forty-some beers on tap are splendid, some excellent local crafts and some nice Belgians as well. The better ones are in the 8%-11% alcohol range. My mussels were very reminiscent of those often had in Bruge and her short rib sandwich was equally delicious and sufficient for a take-away. Try the Duck Fries (French fries done in duck fat.)... I realize that Blue Monk is in Buffalo and not everyone has had the chance to have a real bucket of Moules (Mussels) and Frites (fries) in Belgium or France. I have. And while the Blue Monk does a good job of Moules and Frites, Buffalo ain't Belgium. But that's okay. I picked the mussels cooked with white wine, garlic... More

We love to seek out restaurants/pubs with great beer lists and unique menus. Blue Monk completely delivered, along with great service! We were able to enjoy a range of beer from stout to sours (hard to find), as well as excellent (wish I had a dish right now!) frites, mussels and a truly perfect grilled cheese. It's hard to glorify... More

in town for a wedding and was recommended to this place. Hubby had the Pumpkin beer and I had a whiskey. Large selection of each, about 30 each to choose from! Calamari for an appetizer, it was not too breaded, which I liked. We ate some dinner and had the burger with egg and bacon! Yummy! and the salmon dish... More

Our server was great. I enjoyed my first beer but found it to be rather strong for a warm fall afternoon and asked him to recommend something lighter and more "summery" for my second; the beer that he suggested was exactly what I wanted. I had an onion soup which was delicious and my friend and I split a beet... More

This restaurant is located in a cute area of town. We went on a Sunday night and were seated right away. Service was fast and our waitress was willing to help us choose a beer option. The food was okay and I was satisfied with everything. I had the Mahi Mahi sandwich and my husband had a duck burger. His... More
