Yummmmmy!! - Monk’s Mac & Cheese maybe the best on Mother Earth! My wife and I love this place. This is a Hipster joint and I am as far from hip as they come (according to all three of my kids…). But the reason I love this place is because of the amazing HUGE selection of draft beer and amazing... More

Was here with a bunch of friends - loved the beer menu. Also enjoyed the unique pub menu that accompanied it as well. Atmosphere was very cool and obviously the location on Elmwood is fantastic. Hope to go back soon!

We popped in for lunch on a recent Friday afternoon, shortly after getting settled into our B&B. Dined on the side terrace with delicious chicken Milanese sandwiches off the daily special menu, one of us opting for the upgrade to duck fat-fried frites, but the home made potato chips were excellent as well. We each washed things down with Rogue... More

We had a fantastic lunch at the Blue Monk! The mussels were the best we have ever had - we shared that and the grilled cheese (also excellent). There is a wide beer selection and our server was very knowledgeable and even offered samples to help in making a decision. We'll be back!

My wife and I stopped by the Blue Monk for dinner and it was Great! The beer selection is awesome, lost of beers I have never heard of on tap. I had the Elk Burger which was a special and it was one of the best Elk burgers I have ever had. It had walnut encrusted goat cheese and cranberry... More

Have eaten at many of the Elmwood Village restaurants -- with so many great places, we were the most disappointed with this visit. We came for the duck fries & blue balls--found the food to be average (at best), and the bill for lunch for 2 really high given what we ordered & received. Their supposedly famous duck-fat fries were... More

Excellent pub atmosphere with over 30 draft beers on tap. Wait staff was very knowledgable about the brews and helped me decide on a particular IPA. Had the Blonde Mussels for a light meal. Wonderful choice. They even supplied a spoon so I could lap up the broth. Seems to be a very popular spot given the crowd on a... More

My wife and I arrived in Buffalo's Elmwood Village around 2 PM on a Friday afternoon. The lunch crowd was pretty much gone. We stopped at the Blue Monk for a late lunch. We were seated promptly at a nice sidewalk table overlooking Elmwood Ave. Our service was very good, the beers recommended were very nice, our cheese plate was... More

The Blue Monk was great! The Thelonius burger was highly recommended and lived up to the hype. The beer selection was outstanding! Great place for people watching. The only problem was finding places to park! Beware parking on the side streets, because you might drive away with a souvenir from the city! Smh.

Blue Monk was within easy walking distance of our B&B. We went there during the Netherlands-Argentina World Cup soccer match and the bar was packed! We got a table quickly and had a good waiter. He recommended a terrific IPA. The food was better than expected for a brew pub. I would definitely go back!
