Craft Beer, duck fries, what are you waiting for

Been planning to visit this place for a while and now my only disappointment is that we waited. The bar is nice, it was pretty full and lively. Place has a real pulse. The station to go and ask for a table is through the bar before you go up to the second floor. We were seated quickly (they do... read more

Cool list of beers, nice atmosphere but coldish if you sit next door in winter. I wouldn't eat there though. Nice area in Buffalo.

Honestly, the BEST Duck Poutine I have ever had. The atmosphere is busy and efficient, good selection of foods and the beer "flights" are pretty comprehensive and fairly priced.

Went in with family to have a drink and appetizers at the bar. We had an under 21 designated driver. We were told that we could not come in and hang in the bar with an under 21 designated driver. So, you have a group of 5 adults who hire a designated driver and you can't come in to this... More

A really fun small pub that deserves its high TA ranking. Menu is somewhat limited ( which is ok ) featuring high-end burgers/sandwiches, mussels (3 or 4 ways, made with beer) and of course the decadent fries cooked in duck fat. Beer list is extensive, with about 30 draft options (not including bottles) and they also offer whiskey and wine.... More

This place unmistakenly has an european style. They offer plenty of craft or european beers, a dozen style of burgers and the very famous fries. If you are from europe, maybe spend your money in a more american bar, blue monk is something you can get in hipster europe. however, the place is undoubtably well designed with delicious food and... As you enter the establishment you feel you may be in a monastery with itrs darken atmosphere and heavy wooden bar and furniture. A large blackboard dominates the room listing the numerous beers that are available. There are bottles favouring Belgian products and others including pilsener, porter, stout, bitters, browns and about thirty beers on tap including some local craft... More

My BF and I were really impressed with the Beer choices and even more impressed with the bar staff knowledge of beer! We each tried a few new beers as recommended by the staff. We then had dinner. I had the muscle pot and he had the rib burger. Both meals were so delicious and we left feeling very content!

It was easy to come up with the title here since "my new favorite restaurant" is how I refer to the Blue Monk. I LOVE the mussels and while I've had them elsewhere, they don't stand a chance compared to the ones I get here. I've gotten other dishes including the Roasted Beet Salad that I would also highly recommend.... More

Consistent good food and good service. Great beer and wine list. Cozy atmosphere. Maybe my favorite brunch in Buffalo, too now that Black Rock Kitchen and Bar closed :( Just as great for lunch and/or dinner, too!!
