Great Italian, great location close to First Niagara Center

The spaghetti parm is our family's favorite here. Great place to stop before heading to First Niagara Center before hockey games, concerts, etc, it's so close. Food is reasonably priced with big portions, service is great. Love the sauce here and they always give you extra.

nI went to Chef's with friends to sample the Sauce or Gravy some call it. I noticed all the dishes coming out of the kitchen, they looked scrumptious. So much on the menu to choose from. All Italian dishes. I ordered the Veal Scalopen, and loved it. All the dishes we ordered were tested by everyone. The food was very... More

Prior to going to the Sabres hockey game we decided to take advantage of restaurant week and try out Chef's. Previously, they were so busy we were unable to get reservations. This time we were fortunate to get a table. The restaurant was crowded- but they seated us quickly. It has the feel of a intimate local family restaurant that... More

Located in a seemingly small facade is a huge Italian restaurant. One of the oldest in Buffalo actually. It can get really busy, especially when the Sabres are playing downtown. They take reservations. Chef's is where people who've made a name for themselves go when they're in town. Pictures on the walls are full of Bills, Sabres, actors and other... More

Baked spaghetti is second to none. Their sauce (or gravy) is the best we've ever had. Not to sweet nor sharp. Everyone from presidents to top musicians to popsicle stick executives to game show hosts to athletes to famous Hollywood stars whoever ate there have their picture on the wall. After 3 tries I gave up on giving them the... More

I have been dining at Chef's for the past 30 years and love the spaghetti with meatballs dinner. The sauce is what makes the dinner so good every time. Chef's makes there own bread and the desserts are also homemade. The completed remodeling has many artifacts from the old "Aud" and is a trip down memory lane.

A landmark for years, has a great location. Different soup on different days, their minestrone is great. Caruso (chicken livers) is very good. Also, try the spaghetti parm, VG. Always busy, you'll need reservations, even for lunch. Spacious parking across the street. Service has been spotty each time, though. They sell their sauce there and can also be bought at... More

I've been to Chef's a few times and never been disappointed. Most recently stopped in for dinner on a Monday night. The service was good. My only complaint is they should be a little more forward/clear with what is an additional charge and what's included in the meal. I wasn't aware to 'parm' the Spaghetti was going to cost an... All I can say is they have some really great spaghetti and meatballs. And when you add the extremely fresh bread and butter, you may not be able to finish your entire plate of spaghetti so pace yourself. Oh and you also get ice cream/sherbert for desert. Chef's has been around for at least 40 years in the same location.... More

No wonder why its packed after an event at HSBC arena. People know if they are going downtown and want to eat out where to go. Owners still know what they are doing and bring it to the people. Fan favorite and even a great steak sandwich
