Love their bread; all of chef's food is great. Their lasagnas are all good. Everything tastes like mom made it and now they are expanding. Hurray! Neighborhood isn't the greatest but worth the trek to eat the food. Service is fast and competent, but we never feel rushed.

I am Italian and I don't see why people like this place so much. Maybe the big portions have something to do with it. Just mediocre to me.

I live in Buffalo and know many people that rave about this place. The food is okay, nothing to rave about (I think my sauce is better and I'm not Italian). The food is a la cart and the portions really aren't that big. We went there the other day and our waitress was nice, though, I just wish the... More

This place is great. If you are in Buffalo you have to eat here. Old scroll Italian. I had veal w a side of spaghetti, the other guys had a spaghetti Parm. There were all off the hook! The service was great, they give you bib aprons so you won't spill sauce on your shirt, they even put them on... More

I never stopped at Chef's before, and I always hear about how good they. I am very picky when it comes to Italian food. No place makes a good Red Sauce - Or so I thought. Although the restaurant is cozy, the food was a hit! I thoroughly enjoyed my Lasagna and stuffed peppers. I believe Great Grandma would've been... More

If you're in Buffalo and you like Italian food, this is the place to go. They have a great menu to choose from and it's reasonably priced. When you order, you better have a good appetite because you will get LOTS of food. Many celebrities eat here, when they are in town, so it must be good !

Everyone loves this place and I have no idea why. Waitresses are rude, managers are rude, food is decent at best. Somehow this place got a good reputation in Buffalo. Probably because they treat some people like royalty and everyone else like garbage. If you want italian or food like chefs offers, go to santasieros or ditondos. Much better and... More

Homely place. The in-house spice mix that is served with the bread is my favorite. I sometimes end up eating a lot of bread, that I hardly have any appetite left for the entree. Their portions are HUGE, so I take-out more than half the entree which is almost always eggplant parm. It is really great. Perhaps the only downside... More

Every Xmas holiday we have a family celebration with a partner agency, the family style service is always a pleasant experience . The only place I eat Italian wedding soup. The chicken parm is good, however, my favorite part of the meal is the cannoli and a cup of tea!

Chef's is one of those old Italian restaurants that has been around for as long as I can remember. They are known for their delicious spaghetti parmesan. It is the bomb! Not to say that everything on their menu is delish! This is one of the best in Buffalo. Many prominent lawyers visit there for lunch. Always make sure they... More
