My daughter, who goes to school in Buffalo, took me to Chef's for lunch, upon my arrival to the city. We both ordered the Pasta Parm with a meatball. . . small- which was anything but! Ate till we were stuffed and had enough left over for dinner! Service was excellent. Dinner was HOT and yummy! Prices were good for... More

The pasta and chicken parm are so good! We had French Onion soup to start with fresh bread and crispy salads. The pasta and well, everything come LOADED with cheese. Probably not a good choice for every week but certainly a treat! Service is traditional Italian. Room is huge and busy, but worth it!

Checked the local area before a Sabres hockey game and found this place. They are packed, which is usually a good indicator. Yes, after going to this place I looked on trip advisor and I agree with some comments that it's basic Italian food. This place reminds me of the old Pete's Market House that was in Niagara Falls. Basic... More

We discovered Chef's through recommendations from our hotel. It is a bustling, friendly place which seems to have a lot of regular customers ranging from college students, to families with children, to seniors. The food is good, hearty Italian style: a daily special, eggplant Parmesan was particularly delicious. There is a small, very reasonably-priced wine list. The service is friendly... More

Chef’s has been an immensely popular Buffalo institution for over ninety years. It’s jammed at lunch time and packed before hockey games at the nearby First Niagara Arena. Service, friendly and efficient, is almost a caricature Buffalo joke, “Youse want that parmed?” Politicians, local media celebrities, sports figures, hot shot business men and women all frequent the place, there to... This is the sort of Italian restaurant , that gives bad names to Italian restaurants! This the kind of food people get melancholy about because it reminds them of some relative who made the best "sauce". Portions are large,as is the customers. Our table was mystified as to why this place is popular! The food is mediocre. When in Buffalo,... More

This is a great place to go for some Buffalo history. They serve Italian food, so if you are looking for low carb options, you may be out of luck. Their specialty, as many people have mentioned is their baked spaghetti. We went for lunch and they offer salad, entrée and ice cream for a set price. The baked spaghetti... More
