My husband and I went to Mothers on a whim for a casual Saturday out. We went at about 8pm and the dining room was packed and we ended up waiting about 50 minutes for a table. We had a couple drinks at the bar while we waited. Once we were seated we ordered the stuffed banana peppers for an... More

Interior of historic, small building is decorated in a tasteful, understated way. Had a good steak, and good wedge salad. Wine list is solid, and not pricey. Bar area looks like a cool place to hang out.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel, and we loved it. It was busy, but not overcrowded for a weeknight. Beautiful stone walls, warm decor. Service was fantastic and attentive, and the food was great. I would definitely go here again when we are in Buffalo.

Our group of six went to Mother's for a pre-Sabres game meal. When we told our server of our time constraints, he made sure we were served in a comfortable time frame but quickly enough to get to the stadium before puck-drop. The best meals were the meatloaf (believe the hype), the stuffed chicken and the tuna. My scallops with... More

Manager was rude from beginning to end. Food was enjoyable but the experience totally ruined by a manager who refused to fully value a "charitable" donation he gave to a local charity for auction. When we explained that he was taking almost $50 off of the gift card value he told us (word for word) that he "couldn't do anything... More

If serving good food until midnight is not enough, you can have a fine dining experience in the restaurant or eat at the bar. Easy going place, tough to find a menu online. Was there on Monday December 2. Entrees included duck, pork, steak, Atlantic Salmon and bay scallops, and black fettuccine and sea scallops with spinach in a cream... More

We'd just finished up with the theatre and we're looking for a great place to eat. When Ken one of the Butlers at the Mansion recommended Mother's. He said you can get a 5 star meal til 3 in the morning. When we first got there we were a little taken back because it was pretty much just a yellow... More

My wife and I visited Mother's for our anniversary at the recommendation of family and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is located on a one-way side street that makes it feel a little like an alley (it's not), but for me this adds to the ambiance. The interior is small with a bar on the right and spot-lit brick... More

In various incarnations this place has been here for decades. On our recent visit after five or more years away the food was really special. The service, however, was distinctly chilly, or maybe bureaucratic? Can't put my finger on it. I don't expect anyone to kiss my but, but basic civility and some personality and concern are nice to see.... More

We sat out on the patio and had gourmet food at 11pm. Great service, fun spot. Found it online and very glad we did! It was only about a block form the Holiday Inn.
