Fun Place

A fun place to eat. The atmosphere makes this dining experience. Interesting menu but rather ordinary food. Very reasonable prices. Note that they don't take credit or debit cards.

When I eat breakfast, I eat a lot. It's the most important meal of the day. Especially when you're seeing. The caramel rolls are homemade and out of this world! It's not many places that can make basted eggs the way I like him. But it was just like my mom was back there in the kitchen cooking. The pancakes... More

After reading other TripAdvisor recommendations, we decided to give it a try for breakfast. The food was average diner food. The portions are generous. We also tried the caramel rolls--which were average at best. Cash only. We did enjoy the photos of local cowboys/ranchers on the walls.

Been there twice ... Why? Thought 2nd time around would be better only not. The food isn't bad but the wait staff just WAY TO CASUAL, speed and cleanliness not a priority for them.

Very small cafe with small menu. Food was very good and service was great. Very cheap and fast. Mostly sandwiches. Place was very busy for lunch and people were waiting for a seat.

We went here for lunch based on prior good reviews. I wish we had chosen someplace else. There were 4 of us, and none were very happy with what we ordered. Onion rings were overcooked and probably frozen. Kids had heated frozen nuggets. It just wasn't very good.

Don't take credit cards and don't have an atm. They were turning down business right and left. Lost my money!

Having breakfast at the Cowboy Cafe brought me back to the days of the small town cafe home cooked meals! Excellent environment to enjoy a meal.

We had breakfast the the Cowboy Cafe, and we found the food simple, traditional, well-prepared and tasty. We enjoyed the artifacts on the walls and shelves. We'd go back again! Be forewarned, though--it's cash or check only, no credit cards.

We had lunch at the Cowboy Cafe - veggie soup, a buffalo burger, and a grilled cheese sandwich among us. I don't know what a cowboy cafe is but I guess the food fits the name. For what it's worth, this was our favorite meal in Medora. It had taste and it was reasonably priced. We definitely liked the generous... More
