Great Pizza

Our group of 5 had 2 different pizzas which were very good. But the best part was the feisty waitress we enjoyed bantering with!

The family was in town for my son's wedding this fall and had a quick lunch at the Cowboy cafe. This has always been the local stopping point for all the locals in the area. The food is good and reasonably priced. This is truly the cowboy cafe in an area the has a lot of cowboy history.

Located near the Rough Riders Hotel this cafe offers an outstanding Caramel Bun ($3.75). It was quite large, served warm, and just delicious. In our opinion it is similar to the Cinnabons found at malls, only this one is caramel. The service was friendly and top marks for this short experience we had here. **Note: We had ours 'to go'... Food was tasty and well cooked, we had a large number in our family eating and yet they got us seated pretty quick. Waitress was exceptional, did not miss a thing! Recommend eating here, all was happy with meal, even picky eaters.

Ate breakfast there twice and it was a good, solid menu. It is not a large space but they find a way of accommodating you.

This place was promoted by our hotel, and because we arrived in Medora rather late, we decided to eat dinner there. They were obviously overwhelmed, not expecting the crowd they had that evening, and service was intermittent (can't blame wait staff--they were running all over the place!). We ordered bison burgers, which were fine, though we had to go to... More

We had a great country breakfast in this quaint little restaurant and it was excellent. The prices were reasonable for this area and the wait staff were so good. We would want to return here.

I’m glad we stopped here for lunch. The cowboy/ranch décor is very interesting, and I was especially intrigued by the brands on the porch ceiling. Once is enough for this place, though. Our food was so-so, the portions were small, the service was rushed, and the prices were tourist trap high. There are better places to eat in Medora.

Interesting cowboy decor in this locally owned restaurant. We had delicious buffalo burgers with everything made up for a picnic in Teddy Roosevelt National Park. Staff was friendly and put this together quickly -- for cooked to order food!

We breakfast at the Cowboy Café while traveling through the area. First, the décor is interesting with photos of local ranchers and cowboys. There were some live examples eating at the same time we were. It was nice to see that actual, working ranchers and cowboys still exist in today's world. They were probably there because the food is good.... More
