We went there a couple weeks ago and they were closed. No note on the door. Nothing. The next time we were going to go we called first. Their number had been disconnected. Clearly they are gone. Unquestionably the best Mexican restaurant in Flagstaff and maybe the best restaurant in Flagstaff. After, maybe, 17 years they just disappeared. Sad!

Friday May 2 2014. The restaurant we had planned to eat at was full, so we just started walking. After taking a peek inside, we decided to try Café Ole. Given the choice of inside or outside, we opted for the outdoor patio. The weather was beautiful, we had some shade, and the ambiance was lovely. The complimentary chips (nice... More

I can't believe this place even has the same name as before. Gone is the pretty courtyard and good food. I had an enchilada and he had tacos both were flavorless and neither eatable. I literally sat and stared at a mouse as it sauntered across the doorway in the middle of the day. The guacamole was even tasteless, just... More

My cheese and beef crispy was stuck like cement to the paper lined tray it was served in and was so greasy I gave up after trying to saw off a piece with my kindergardeners knife. When something is that tough they should supply a steak knife at the very least. The salsa tasted fresh, but the chips are thick... More

We never got to Cafe Ole when it was larger but I can't believe the food could have been any better than it is now. The salsa you get with the chips is not what you may be used to but it is quite tasty and fresh. I had the calabacitas enchiladas and they were delicious. You can count on... More

Cafe Ole is half its former size as they spanned two buildings with different owners, and are now in one building as the other was sold. However, the friendliness of the wait staff and the food quality remains very good. I really like the green chile pork enchiladas. Prices are good. We try to go each time we are in... More

I was sorry to see the size of the place smaller, especially the loss of patio area; however, the 4 of us enjoyed the chips, beer, and each of our meals. I appreciate the gluten-free options, but was disappointed to know there were no tamales ready... They are my favorite....next the chicken enchiladas! Look here for Mexican food, not just... More

Café Olé recently downsized to a single room, loosing the patio and the room that used to be the entry room. Now there are 7 tables & booths. But the food was as good as always. I usually order the daily special or calabacitas. The calabacitas here are excellent, and come with your choice of red or green tomatillo sauce.... More

Seven tables all full on a Friday evening. Food was great. Just the right amount of heat. Service was good. If you are in Flagstaff looking for Mexican food this is your place!
