Ask for the cheap menu. Food was like most diners. It was close to many motels and opened at 6:00 AM. We walked from our hotel.

We took the Travelodge front desk clerk's suggestion to eat here while overnighting in Flagstaff en route to Monument Valley. That night's special was your typical home style diner steak and a decent sized salad so we went with the flow. Not filet, but quite acceptable, and of course, inexpensive. There was even a live guitarist playing while we were... More

I sincerely apologize for the experience that you had with our restaurant. That morning did indeed not go quite as planned, and we had several issues that day which unfortunately caused several guests to have bad experiences. However, we have addressed many of the issues that surfaced that day and hope that you give us another chance if you are... More

The only good thing about staying at the crappy Days Inn was that this little gem was across the street! Great breakfast!

It was something different to try while we were in flagstaff. I had ordered blueberry pancakes and it seemed like the pancakes needed a little more on the stove. The lady in the front was so busy she told us to get the menus from the desk and sit. The waitress was super nice and friendly so I liked that.... More

On a tour of the southwest we spent two nights in Flagstaff. On both evenings a large group dined at the Galaxy. On the first night they were very busy with locals and coach trippers and although we hadn't booked they found us a table in about 20 minutes. The meals we had were good, unpretentious home cooking. Good portion sizes and incredible... More

Of all the historical Route 66 retro diners we visited on our trip (and there were a few) Galaxy Diner was our clear favourite. The interior was as ostentatious as every other place (no problem there), the menu extensive, the food fresh, plentiful and delicious and there just seemed to be (even on a quiet day) more of an atmosphere... Went for late dinner. Great service, food...was not impressed. I had pot roast, and it was a little salty. Maybe stopping by here for flavor sods and floats may be best. Love the decorations.

We had breakfast burritos, waffles, omelets and one in our party had chicken fried steak. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Portions were a good size and with drinks, everything averaged about $10 per person. Mom had fun picking out the actors from the 50s in the photos on the wall. Good throwback diner, definitely recommend.

Located on Historic Route 66, this diner has a great deal of charm and appeal. The food is average for the price and the service is great. This was one of the better spots on this trip.

The Galaxy Diner is a great pace for breakfast. Besides the 50's atmosphere, the food is basic and quite good. We would DEFINITELY recommend it to any friends.
