Excellent food prepared by renowned chief. However, the venue is very small, sometimes feels crowded and noisy and is expensive for this town. Reservations a must 95% of the time. A special intimate place to go in Flagstaff.

We just moved to Flagstaff this summer, and have slowly been sampling the variety of restaurants we find here. After reading the many good reviews, looked forward to the Cottage Place which is in a charming small house. Intentionally we booked an early meal on a Saturday night (5:30pm). Since the dining area is small felt we would better enjoy... More

My husband found this restaurant and booked us a table for dinner tonight. We all had the chateaubriand which was melting in the mouth. The demi glaze gave a hint of sweetness while the bearnaise sauce was creamy yet light and allowed the tarragon to develop all its flavor. The smoked gouda gratinee potato was divine as were the tomato... More

My girlfriend and I took another couple for dinner there on Sunday evening expecting the same wonderful experience we had a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, we had a young blond waitress that had a personality and service skills more like what one would expect from a nearby Denny's. She was in a hurry to get our order and it went... More

The decor is lovely and homey, the food very good, and the wait staff are truly exceptional. This restaurant probably has the best food in Flagstaff, and though a bit pricey, is definitely not "overpriced." This is the place to dine to celebrate your special occasions. I do recommend reviewing the menu before making reservations, because the somewhat limited menu... More

The Cottage Place is the only real "fine dining" in Flagstaff. The service is fantastic. They have an excellent wine list and the food is always delicious. It is located in a charming old house south of the tracks near NAU.

We have eaten at Cottage Place many times and even attended their cooking classes and were super impressed with the food. I was glad they had written a cookbook especially since it made Christmas shopping for my husband a lot easier. Everything we've made has been amazing. The instructions are clear, the ingredients readily available and the recipes inventive and... More

We were in Flagstaff waiting for an Amtrak train that was late (what else is new?) and decided to make the best of it with a nice dinner. The Cottage Place was a short walk from the station and got good ratings. We walked in and we were seated shortly after but not before Chef Frank Branham wandered out into... More

We saved Cottage Place for our last night in Flagstaff, "the best for last", but were very disappointed. It was not so much the food, as the tightness of the tables and the slow service. The arrive appetizer was delicious. I had grilled shrimp and beef tenderloin, and they were both cooked excellently. My wife had shrimp, but did not... More
