China Star was OK, especially for the low price. But we didn't feel it was as clean as it needed to be, nor that the foods were kept at the hot and cold temperatures, respectively, needed for food safety. The hostess was brusque in the way she greeted us, but on the other hand, our male server was warm and... More

Food was not hot. "Hot & sour" soup was "barely warm & sour", but had good flavor. Sesame chicken was dry, meat was stringy, warm, not hot. Sweet & sour chicken was cold, tough. Pork was all gristle & bone. Not edible. Chicken on a stick was dried out. Mongolian beef was good, too many onions. Fried mushrooms were good.... More

I became very ill after eating at the lunch buffet at China Star Restaurant. After eating at the buffet at the China Star Restaurant I threw up several times and also had dizziness and extreme chills. The China Star restaurant was the only place I ate on the day I became ill and the only food that I ate at... More

Worst chinese food I ever had. Wonton soup tasted like water and most of the food tasted like cardboard.

China Star Buffet in Flagstaff, AZ. Is the best Buffet for Chinese food in northern AZ! On the weekends: Friday – Sunday and Holidays. they have Beef ribs! Yum. No mater what day it is, it is the best meal for under $10.00 per person. I try and eat here a few times a week.

Coming to FLG, a Chinese buffet would be the last place even a Chinese would want to go to. But if you want bang for the buck, this place offers it. The food was typical of AYCE places that offer Americanized Chinese food, which is expected because this isn't LA or SF. The owners are likely mainland Chinese since they... More

The service was great; very attentive waiter. The food all tasted similar and the chicken was all very fatty, and some of it tasted oddly like fish (although it was chicken.) The ice cream machine spit out totally melted liquid and they didn't seem concerned when I asked about it. Skip this place.

My husband loves Chinese and he loves buffets. Found this place driving through Flagstaff and thought I'd stop and give him a treat. As far as Chinese food buffets go, this was a pleasant surprise for me. The food was good, fresh and inexpensive. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. My husband loved it and I did too, which... More

I totally agreed with the previous member's post on March 5, 2014, the server was polite. Even though the food selection is limited, the taste is still very good. The reason they no longer accept coupon is because of ownership change. But for $8.xx a head with soft drink included, it's a great deal. I've been there couple of years... More

Stopped in here cuz we grabbed a 10% off coupon at the Flagstaff visitor center. They no longer accept them. Not a huge selection, but was pleasantly surprised. Wasn't too sure with the price being only $8.79 per person, beverage included. Food was hot, fresh. Soups were good. Not much choice for salads and desserts. Again, for the price, better... More
