Yes, the food takes a while to arrive-- but it's worth the wait. We were concerned at first because we were the only customers, but looks can be deceiving. My breakfast sandwich was big, tasty and had lots of good stuff in it; the chipotle mayo was an excellent enhancement. The man and woman who run the place are down-to-earth... More

The first thing I noticed about this place is that is smells like a greasy grill. Don't let that scare you away. The food was not greasy at all. The food was very fresh, and homemade. It did take a long time for our order to arrive. It gave us a lot of time to enjoy the old movie posters,... More

Stumbled onto this little gem on the south side of town; absolutely, we had the BEST sandwiches ever; with homemade cole slaw & potatoe salad; highly recommend!

My husband is a chilaquilas connoisseur and this tiny mom and pop's version is the best he's ever had. Tiny space, long waits, and no reservations might not be for everyone but the charming atmosphere and friendly service make it worth the wait for the ENORMOUS portions. Get them "Christmas Style" with green and red sauce. I will head back... More

yikes.. how to be nice and still be truthful... our "reuben" sandwhiches were microwaved right in front of us.. canned saurkraut.. generic thousand island and corned beef from the safeway deli. they were so nasty we couldn't even get through them. judging by the other comments breakfast must be where its at because lunch is definitely not their strong point!... Have been to Cafe Del Rio twice now for breakfast. It is a little gem of a restaurant on South San Francisco Street. It has just recently opened for breakfast and has some wonderful dishes. My favorite is the enchiladas with eggs with either red or green sauce, homemade hash browns and the best beans I have ever tasted. They... More

This place is open for both breakfast and lunch, but for a weekend breakfast...I know this may be sacrilege for a Flagstaffian to say, but I like this place better than MartAnne's. First, the warnings. They're slow. You will spend some time sitting at your table sipping coffee (which isn’t the best, but others like it) conversing with friends. It... More
