Description: A funky little joint, that cooks with love. Ribs, Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Jambalaya, Gumbo and Veggie options just to name a few! A killer selection of craft brews; New Belgium, Odell, Mogollon, Dogfish Head, Stone & New Castle. We understand it may not taste just like your Grandma’s Gumbo or just like Pop’s BBQ. But what we do understand is cook’n with love, just like Grandma and Pop’s did. Good for your soul food!

When you park up in front of Satchmo's you really do not know what to expect inside. A really eclectic interior is matched by the staff. Amazing service and recommendations from Salvador Dali (not his real name if you go you will see why they call him this)! The food was excellent, my husband had ribs with sweet potato fries... More

Whatever you do make this place a stop if you're in the area. Definitely worthy it and get the jambalaya. It's the best! And did I mention that it has local beer? No? It has a good selection of local brews.

Best pulled pork Bbq. If you like spicy order anything blackened but be careful it will sneek up on you.

We just visited the restaurant for the first time and the food is the best I have eaten. We ordered the lil mo platter and all the food was so tender it was hard to choose what to eat. The ribs were so tender they fell of the bone. Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Now on to the staff... More

We found this place on our way out of Flagstaff and are very glad we did. Sort of a little "hole in the wall" place but don't let that detour you. Friendly employees and delicious food. If I was a local I would eat here all the time!

We visited here because the reviews were great. We ordered a take-out for two pounds of brisket. After waiting close to 30 minutes for our order, we found the "2-punds" to be very light, even with the sauces in the bag. The brisket per pound was 18 dollars. I do not mind the price. I do mind that they were... More

Excellent BBQ and well deserved after hiking out of Grand Canyon. Loved the pulled pork sandwich and tots! Delicious, fast, affordable, and very friends staff. It's also quaint and somewhat hidden- seems to be a true locals lunch and dinner joint.

Great local place for lunch or dinner. Fast, friendly service. To go available too. I LOVE their catfish and sweet potato fries.

We were told about this place from the front desk agent at Hampton Inn just around the corner. Aarin said that the place was unique, and delicious and boy he wasn't wrong! This is by far some of the best food I have had in a long while. I would definitely come back again and again if I lived in... More

After an easy drive on Route 66 we located Satchmo's, a small Cajun style eatery on the east side of town that offers a nice menu selection. My wife had the BBQ ribs with a side of Red Beans & Rice which were both tasty and the ribs outstanding. I ordered the Jambalaya with a side of Shrimp Gumbo and... More
