A funky little joint, that cooks with love. Ribs, Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Jambalaya, Gumbo, Poboys and Veggie options just to name a few! A killer selection of local and regional craft brews. Really great BBQ food.

We ordered, on two different occasions, (two large trays) pulled pork and brisket, and it was excellent. Have eaten there several times and enjoyed everything and the staff was friendly.

You have to try the smoked barbeque beans; I could have eaten just them. I've had the brisket sandwich and ribs. Both very good. The cole slaw was not my style.

After having lived in the redneck riviera a few years back, it's really nice to get some authentic Cajun food in Arizona! The best part is during Mardi Gras season....Satchmo's has an awesome Fat Tuesday celebration complete with a Bourbon Street band! Food is great, the owner and staff are great. The owner is actually from Louisiana, so he knows... More

Small, hole in the wall place. Great find. Like a hidden gem! Staff was friendly. Place was older but well kept. It was decorated w/ a Louisiana jazz vibe. Clean bathroom. (Tells me a lot about a place) Most important, food was great! Ribs were excellent, brisket was amazing, shrimp po-boy was good too. Sides were good as well. Sweet... More

Friendly staff but we didn't think the food was great. Saw all the Yelp reviews and decided to try it. Place was half full. Food quality was not great and we tried a bit of everything. PoBoy, Ribs, Fish, Pulled Pork. Coleslaw was interesting but not a kid pleaser. The Tator tots are of the frozen variety and strongly seasoned.... More

My husband and I had tried to eat here once before and it was closed, so we were so glad that we made it a point to come back! The young man taking our order and woman bringing out the food couldn't have been nicer. I got the pulled pork sandwich, slaw and chips, and a local draft beer. My... More

I will start this off by saying that I am no connoisseur of BBQ but I know great food when I try it. My wife and I found this restaurant on Tripadvisor and decided to try it out for ourselves on a spontaneous trip to Flagstaff to escape the Phoenix heat. We spent the afternoon at the Lowell Observatory (which... More

It's not complicated - an eclectic place that serves mostly Cajun and BBQ. Order at the counter and they deliver to the table. The foods are served in baskets, which is a particularly interesting way to eat jambalaya and red beans and rice. But everything was very good, including the cornbread and the very interesting fried bread pudding. The service... More

Loved the catfish po' boy, it was absolutely delicious. Atmosphere and decor needs work, but the food is so darn good it doesn't affect my rating at all!

Stopped for the night in Flagstaff and wanted something other than fast food... So we looked up BBQ in Flagstaff and Satchmo's was one of two places that popped up. We were immediately met with a fantastic greeting and explanation of the menu. My husband ordered burnt ends with sides of red beans&rice and cole slaw. I didn't even get... More
