A funky little joint, that cooks with love. Ribs, Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Jambalaya, Gumbo, Poboys and Veggie options just to name a few! A killer selection of local and regional craft brews. We understand it may not taste just like your Grandma's Gumbo or just like Pop's BBQ. But what we do understand is cook'n with love, just like Grandma and Pop's did. Good for your soul food!

Stopped in to pick up something for dinner and as usual they did not disappoint!! The ribs were amazing, potato salad very tasty and the smokey beans were the bomb my only regret was that got the small containers! I did try the bread pudding just next time I will forgo the lemon sauce but yum!!

We went to Satchmos for lunch with high expectations based on reviews on this and other sites. I had blackened catfish on jambalaya. The jambalaya was OK but the catfish was horribly salty. My husband's ribs were unremarkable and would have been better if they were finished on the grill for a little char. The dirty rice was bland and... More

This is the place. The staff is upbeat, friendly, and helpful. They recommended plenty of options. I went with the brisket tip poboy special. It was exactly what I needed. Dinner here was a plus on my road trip. Next time I will have to have the catfish with a local brew.

The Jambalaya was some of the best I've ever hard. The Catfish and red beans got a double thumbs up from my wife, who is very picky. The bread pudding was a favorite of my wife and son as well. The service was great. The cornbread was tasty, but a basket was too much for 3 avg eaters

Satchmo's is in a rather insalubrious strip mall and is an unpretentious little restaurant, but oh, my, what a diamond in the rough! The man at the cash who takes your orders is just so welcoming and helpful and seems genuinely eager to get you the best meal possible. And the meal? Great BBQ. We used take out (back to... More

Our family was visiting Flagstaff and decided we wanted some great BBQ. We stopped here. It is a order at the counter type of place which was fine. They had adequate seating and a rustic atmosphere. All in all typical of a BBQ place. We looked over the menu then went to order. I decided on the full rack of... More

We stopped by there our first night in Flagstaff. We didn't know where to eat so we looked on yelp. It was a great idea to stop there! You could drive past it if you are not careful but it's cozy and inviting. The staff was friendly and helpful with what was best to eat. Everything we got was great.... More

Mr Britches and I love to eat at Satchmos, the food is extraordinary and the beer is always on point, with a variety of tasty microbrews. We highly recommend the fried catfish Po boys with their amazing tots. The red beans and rice are a big hit with Mr. Britches. Staff are always warm, friendly and accommodating.

Don't let the location of this restaurant fool you, it is to die for! We went back twice on our recent visit to Flagstaff because we just couldn't get enough. The service is excellent, they are so kind and welcoming. The food is just delicious! During our trips there we ordered a shrimp po'boy, a pulled pork sandwich and the... More
