A funky little joint, that cooks with love. Ribs, Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Jambalaya, Gumbo, Poboys and Veggie options just to name a few! A killer selection of local and regional craft brews. We understand it may not taste just like your Grandma's Gumbo or just like Pop's BBQ. But what we do understand is cook'n with love, just like Grandma and Pop's did. Good for your soul food!

Good lunch

Finally got here after a few years and the vibe, wait staff is very good, and the food was very well done. The brisket sandwich, and the blackened catfish were very well done. I would definitely come here again.

Great food! Friendly atmosphere, very comfortable fore solo diners! I was a little Leary about Cajun food in Flagstaff but the food was great!

The ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender with a beautiful corona. They are rich with complex smoke from a mix of hardwoods including cherry, hickory, and pecan. As result they are subtly sweet with licorice, cherry, and tarry flavors. Fresh brewed iced tea is crisp and delicious. The tater-tots are fun. The slaw has bright and clean flavors and spiced up with... More

Was pleasantly surprised by this place. Had a wonderfully tasty andouille sausage po' boy with slaw and dirty rice. We also had the pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw and potato salad. Great food, great beer selection, and a patio that allows you to enjoy Flagstaff's awesome summer weather. You owe it to yourself to try Satchmo's.

Restaurant was a little way out from where we were staying in the heart of Flagstaff. But the food was worth the relatively short drive. For the food we got, it was excellent value. The Jambalaya was wholesome and hearty. Blackened Catfish was very well seasoned although I was expecting a bigger portion. Tried the Pulled Pork Burger but that... More

Don't let the building itself dissuade you from trying the menu. Nothing fancy but GREAT bbq. You are also able to eat outside where they had a jazz trio playing.

My wife and I had lunch there on our first day of a month in Flagstaff. It had great reviews but was hard to find as it was situated in a strip mall hiding behind another strip mall. The pulled pork sandwiches we ate were first rate and they have outside seating and a wonderful breeze, It's not Kansas City or... Stopped here based upon tripadvisor reviews. Overall a solid attempt at BBQ. Needed to pick up food in Flagstaff before heading to our final destination in Tuba City. The staff was friendly and the vibe seemed cool (we ordered takeout). I got the last order of burnt ends they had which were served in a fabulous sauce. The ribs were... More

The food was slow cooked and fantastic. The ribs are amazing. They fall off the bone and are well seasoned. The sweet potato fries were perfect. The customer service was amazing
