When I walked up to the plain, block building that looked as if it had been there for many, many years, the aroma from the restaurant immediately transported me to Mississippi circa 1972. I was on my Gramma's front porch, waiting on dinner to be served. The Kleer-Vu did my Gramma proud! Delicious fried chicken and sides! The only thing... More

Visited Kleer Vu, while in town and it was as good as I remember. They have always had amazing food and was my place to reconnect with home while I was in school at MTSU. It really brought back some great memories. If you are ever in Murfreesboro, TN, or for that matter close to the area, it would be... More

I have lived in Murfreesboro all my life. I loved my grandmother's cooking. When I discovered the Kleer-Vu, I found many of the styles and tastes of my grandmother's cooking. The mac n cheese, lumpy potatoes, WONDERFUL corn, chicken and dressing, black eyed peas. It all is great. The peach cobbler and the hot water cornbread area also some of... More

This is a small soul food restaurant. Food is delicious and cooked with ample seasonings. Family owned, has been around for over twenty years.

Cafeteria style restaurant, old but clean. The dining crowd was an eclectic mix which included downtown lawyers, business execs, retirees and blue collar workers. All seemed to enjoy their meals and from the greetings extended by the restaraunt proprietors, most patrons were regulars. I was guided here by my business client who eats here often. I enjoyed the down home... More

Kleer-Vu is the best soul food in Murfreesboro! It's simple and to the point, with their choices displayed on a sign and a lunchroom tray ready for you to use. I always get the fried chicken and all the sides are wonderful. The bread they serve with the meals is always great as well. People say that their location is... More

It's not much to look at, but Kleer-Vu has great soul food! Going through the line to order your meal is somewhat like the "soup nazi" from Seinfeld. Note- if you desire a hot dessert, it's the beginning of the line, so please indicate you want cobbler, etc. first before ordering your meal. Fried chicken is probably one of their... More

Kleer-Vu is good, but the service is terrible! If you are looking for a GREAT meat & 3, go about one block down and eat at Jeff Sowell's Family Restaurant. The food is about the same at both... but the service is Excellent!

While the location is in a somewhat sketchy area, the food and people inside make up for it all! I had never been to a meat and 3 before, so I didn't know what to expect. I had the best bbq ribs, creamed corn, and cinnamon apples. The workers there all appeared to love what they were doing and interacted... More

If you aren't hungry, you will be when you walk in! Best cornbread on the planet. Basic meat and three in a local atmosphere. Nothing flashy about this place! Give yourself plenty of time to stand in the cafeteria style line.
