Thai Rak Thai restaurant was opened in 2006. It is located on Adams Avenue, downtown of Scranton. The restaurant is made up of two dining rooms which serve approximately 120 customers. The interior is decorated with some unique artworks from Thailand. As you dine in, the Asian style interior design, foods and Thai music will give you a warm and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for chatters, family gathering, and even business meals. We serve original and fusion Thai foods which include vegetarian, vegan, seafood, poultry and meat, choice of noodles and rice, which are seasoned with Thai spice and herbs. For beverages, we offer drinks that are originally served in Thailand such as Thai tea, coffee, coconut juice, etc. Besides, our restaurant is BYOB which allows customers to bring their own choice of alcohol beverages without extra charge for opening the bottle and chilling. We also reserve tables for customers who plan to have celebration on special occasions. Nonetheless, we have our special way of dedicating birthday songs which will definitely give you a surprise! We would like to thank all customers who given us the chance to serve you. We will maintain the quality of food and provide our best service to all customers. We will not stop improving in order to deliver what is best for you. We hope that all of you will return to the restaurant in the future and give us the chance to serve you again.

Great Thai Food. Friendly customer service. Take out only. Only complaint is I wish the portions were a little larger.

We took a trip to the Lackawanna Coal Mine. When we're done we were starving. My husband insisted we try this place and I thought he was crazy....turns out I was 100% wrong. The staff are warm and friendly. They made us feel incredibly welcome and helped the kids decide what to get. Also, they were great with adjusting the... More

Can't go wrong with the drunken noodles here!! Literally no where else can compare! They have a fun atmosphere and love when there is a birthday there ! Disco ball and singing! The staff is always walking around and refilling your glass. It's byob so you can bring a bottle of your favorite wine or beer. I don't have enough... More

We love the food at Thai Rak Thai but the atmosphere is even better. Everyone is welcoming and if you're having a birthday party they sing and bang pots for your enjoyment. You gotta try this place!

Fantastic restaurant. The table was set up so nicely and my drink was served with a cute little straw wrapper rose. The food was excellent and the staff was super friendly and very attentive.

I was in Thailand for three weeks in in 2013 and ate totally local. In that time i developed a real feel for true Thai food. I have to say that Thai Rak Thai is as real as you can get without being in Thailand (which may not be a bad long term plan! LOL). The people are friendly, courteous,... More

I had to meet up with my daughter and her boyfriend which Scranton was halfway for both if us. I read the ratings on this so we decided to try it. Everyone was happy with their meals. The service was very good. The prices were reasonable. We love Thai food.i

Wife and I were planning on going to a vegetarian restaurant across the street but it closed early. All bummed out we decide to go across the street to Thai Rak. We both found great vegetarian dishes on menu and actuality I'm glad we came here. I had the green curry with vegetables and the curry was just the right... More

Great find for Thai food in a mid-size city. Went on reviews in TripAdvisor, set the GPS and had a great meal. Great food, wonderful wait staff and prices that cannot be beat! We enjoyed the Massaman Curry (beef) and Drunken Noodles (chicken) and supremely enjoyed both. Don't miss it if you are in Scranton. Try the Thai Tea.

The lunch menu is easy to navigate. Pick your vegetable meal with rice or noodles and then add your choice of meat or seafood. The tables are linen covered and the staff attentive, helpful and willing to accommodate special requests and questions. Add to that the bubble tea and this was a favorite Bubble tea is basically large black tapioca,... More
