Way too much food is presented. But the selections and preparation were great. We had a great dinner and breakfast was also very good.

I had dinner at Carmen's and was waited on by Judy, Ed, and Frank. It was indeed pricey but that's what we were expecting, and the food was delicious. It was Commencement weekend and thus a special, shortened menu, but we still enjoyed it. These three who served us were extremely friendly, helpful, attentive, and obviously care a lot about... Four of us stayed overnight at the co-located Radisson Hotel and planned from the start to have dinner in the lobby of the beautiful, historic Lackawanna train station. I was expecting an "OK" meal in a fabulous setting. What we got, however was the best of both. We were served by three different servers, each with an assigned responsibility -... More

We've enjoyed a couple of dinners here while traveling and both were excellent. The restaurant is located in the beautifully restored historic train station. The food and service were excellent and attractfuly presented. I highly recommend this restaurant for family, business or even for that elegant dinner for two...

During brunch we waited 10 minutes for a server who neither smiled nor spoke. It took another 15 minutes to get coffee. After brunch, we waited 20 minutes for our check. Terrible.

This restaurant was in the old Scranton Railway Station which is now converted to a Raddisson Hotel. The meals that we received were very tasty and the presentation was very nice. We went around 7 PM and they had already had their dinner rush so it was not crowded at all. The ambiance was excellent with the beautiful chandelier and... More

My daughter and I had lunch at Carmen's. The staff were all so friendly and considerate. Based partly on our waitress's recommendation, we ordered a delicious lunch from the menu, with the best coffee I've had in a long long time. The smorgasbord we could have chosen for lunch was great looking, but we didn't feel we could do it... More

Reservations for a Friday evening dinner inviting another couple to dine with us. I was a bit surprised that the place was not extremely busy. This may be unfairly allowing such a positive review as one of my concerns had it been packed would be the amount of conversation noise echoing off of all the marble. Food was great, and... More

Carmen's is a long-standing tradition with us. We have been going there for years as we pass through Scranton. Although we stopped staying at the Radisson/Lackawanna Station hotel due to their flaky wi-fi system, we definitely wouldn't miss going there to enjoy Carmen's. Last night we had their tasty misto salad (the best we've had anywhere). The bread is home-made... More
