I'll admit I was skeptical of the high rating on yelp when setting the place and trying the coffee (I really love coffee, but it's not great here), but this place didn't disappoint. They take all credit cards, have very friendly staff, and the breakfast was generous and delicious. For my buddy and my tab, it was $22 before tip.... More

This visit was for dinner. It has an old fashion diner appeal to it out front and there's regular tables in the back! Feels like 50's or 60's. Home cooked meals that are simple yet delicious!

The Glider doesn't disappoint. Their food is always good and fresh. I've been here at all hours of the day and through the night and never had a bad experience.

Family and friends have been going there for years. The best roast beef and GRAVY anywhere. Good food and reasonable.

This is a typical, old-fashioned diner that has been around for ages and stays open all night, meaning you will sit beside truck drivers and theater-goers arriving after a show. The food is basic, but people keep coming back.

This is the real-deal, classic stainless steel diner. 3 booths on either side of the entrance and a counter the whole length of the diner. (They’ve added on additional seating off to the side but the diner is the place to sit.) Dim lit, probably can’t get replacement bulbs for the old lights, everyone knows everyone that comes in, a... Me, my brother, and friend went, waited 20 minutes for drinks, 40 minutes for breakfast (French toast, bacon egg& cheese, breakfast burrito) and then another 20 minutes for our sides. We were never offered refills on coffee. I asked for sugar free syrup (I'm type one diabetic), not until after I ate my food I was told they didn't have... More

The Glider has been in Scranton forever. My father-in-law told us stories of his mother mother working there when he was a kid. It was pretty standard greasy spoon stuff. The place is old & in need of some major de-greasing. The tile floor is slick with a coating of grease that feels like it's been developing for decades. Super... More
