I've lived in the area for many years and I am kicking myself for not trying this place sooner. If you're debating on where to go for good Mexican food in the area, go here. They serve complimentary chips with spicy chipotle sauce (sorry no free salsa Tonalteca lovers). I had the wet burrito with green sauce and my fiancé... More

Of so many different options in the area, this is the one you should choose. This is a small family-owned business that has been going for years. The owner is at work every day, he still cooks in his own kitchen and comes out to ask people how their meals are. The food has always been amazing in my experience... More

We were passing through the area and were looking for an interesting alternative to the fast food joints along the I-81 corridor. We like Mexican food and thought we'd give it a try. It looked a little scary from outside, but we've learned over the years not to judge by what you see when you first drive up. In this... More

Small family-owned, BYOB, mexican restaurant in southside which is my family's favorite. The food is always fresh, the service is always excellent and welcoming. We have tried most menu items over the years but went out on a limb and tried the hot wings tonight. They had a kick and mexican flavor, we loved them. If you like mexican food... More

This is the Mexican version of my favorite Scranton restaurant Savory Mazza. Chicano's is every bit an authentic Mexican foods spot, home cooking, like being in a Mexican grandma's kitchen.Family run, cozy and friendly. Wide variety of dishes, staff explain everything and if you tell them your tastes recommend spot on a dish sure to please. Worth a visit.

I didn't think I was a big fan of Mexican food but my kids insisted we try Chicano's. The empanadas are wonderful, the burrito (beef) is delicious. Chips and homemade salsa. The prices are so affordable, we take out. Very nice people that run the restaurant. So if you are in Scranton and enjoy Mexican food this place is a... More

Rare find in the NE mountains of PA. Just finished a great meal, very flavorful and fresh. We liked the guacamole so much we ordered some to go.

If you like Mexican food you can't go wrong with Chicano's. It is family owned and operated, and the hard work these people put in to running their business shows. The atmosphere is very simple and clean. The service is always pleasant, and they are very nice when I attempt to speak Spanish (not very good at, but I'm try).... More
