Best lentil soup I've ever eaten. Family atmosphere. You can eat a lot of this type food, be full and have no regrets. Love the hummous too!

We eat Lebanese food quite often and were excited to find this place. It is quite a distance away, but since we had to be in Scranton anyway, we timed our trip so we could have dinner there. The menu was simple, with many duplicates but for change in protein (beef kabob, lanb kabob, etc). There was nothing that was... More

I had walked by this place a few times, and I would never have guessed how fantastic the food is. It is AMAZING! The Balila is not to be missed, and the wait staff is always super friendly. If you live in the Scranton area, you must try this place (but make sure to make a reservation)!

I've to say, the last thing I expected to find in Scranton, PA was a very good Lebanese restaurant. It was lunch time, we just bought tickets for a 2:50pm Lackawanna Coal Mine tour, I looked up our options in TripAdvisor fully expecting to find a pizza place or two, and there it was. The food is pretty authentic and... More

I have been to Savory Maza twice and ordered take out from there once. The service and food are excellent. If I had a complaint about the restaurant it would be the size of the dining area, which can be a bit tight. But that adds to the family business feel of the place so it can be overlooked. Overall... Gave this restaurant a try since it ranked highly on trip advisor. Very disappointed. We thought the service was very slow. But we noticed people that walked in that knew the waitress got served before us even though they arrived 20 minutes after us. All of the food we ordered actually tasted similar even though they were completely different dishes.... More

This is a family run restaurant, but I was dissapointed in the service. We were almost turned down when coming in for dinner at 5 PM due to reservations. I felt like we were intruding on their restaurant and not welcome. The place filled up as we were leaving but we were done before all the tables were taken. The... More

Savory Maza is great. Went there for lunch w/ my Mom & sister and had the Falafel appetizer as well as, the kibee wrap and finished off w/ the Savory Maza Baklawa which was heavenly.Luckily, my sister and I split the wrap cause everything was very filling. I would highly recommend this place. Very casual.

The owners are just terrific. This a great example of a family owned local business. The food and service are the best. Try this restaurant and you will not be disappointed.

This was our second time here and it was just as good as the first. Instead of a salad with my meal I ordered their lentil soup. I've had different styles of homemade lentil soup before, but none compares to the homemade lentil soup here. The chef puts in a touch squeeze of lemon which sets it above the rest.... More
