My wife and I dropped in for Friday dinner. The place is very cozy and just half a block from The Times Building on Penn Ave. The martinis were superb and the Heinekens were fresh. The Caesar salad was well done. Crisp and fresh, with anchovies, and not over dressed. My wife loved her chicken puttanesca, and my veal Sambuca... More

It doesn't look like much from the outside but it's cute and cozy inside. We had a bottle of wine at a decent price and started with the Mozzarella with red pepper and tomato. It was very good. For dinner, my husband ordered the Ravioli with shrimp and garlic. It had a delicious sauce and he loved the whole dish.... More

We heard about the Sambuca Grill and made a reservation on Open Table for our visit last weekend to Scranton. We were not disappointed. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. My wife and I split the mouth-watering Eggplant Rollatini appetizer. For the main course, I enjoyed the Linguine Soho with shrimp, spinach, and mushrooms. My wife loved... More

As someone who travels a lot and eats out a whole lot, I have found that there are two kinds of Italian restaurants, both of which can and cannot serve great food. One is the type that bubbles over with sometimes loud enthusiasm and makes everyone feel welcome. The second kind is more reserved, oriented more towards couples and adult... More

Wow- this restaurant never disapponts. Tonight was no exception- from the fresh Sambuca salad, to Chilean Sea Bass, my palate was dancing. Don't pass up this place, but do think in terms of $50 per person if you have salad, dinner, drinks and desserts.

What a delightful find in downtown. Bacon wrapped sea scollops as appetizer were delicious. Ravioli's with light sauce excellent and the desserts will more than satisfy. Have been there since with friends and meals continue to amaze.

Wonderful quiet little place.... attentive service... fabulous Italian cuisine. Had a coupon from Restaurant.com and wanted to celebrate birthdays with a friend. I had seafood pasta and she had chicken parm. The bread, the salad and the entrees were fabulous and so reasonable. The service was attentive but not intrusive. This was completely worth the hour drive to enjoy a... More

We were looking forward to our first experience at Sambuca Grill which was highly rated by fellow TripAdvisor reviewers. The food was flavorful as rated. One of our party who ordered their meal was served soup instead as an entree. The waiter apologized and said there was a glitch in the computer and so her meal was not recorded and... More
