My favorite restaurant in Scranton. It's best to make reservations but you can also eat at the bar. You will not be dissappointed.

I've been here several times for pre-concert/event dinners and they never fail to deliver. Most recently was pre "Jersey Boys" at the Scranton Cultural Center. The first thing the waiter asked was if we were going to the show. He knew we had a time constraint. It didn't make a difference with the food we ordered, a seafood pasta dish... More

I'm so tired of poor service and/or seemingly higher-end restaurants trying to fool clients with low-quality food. Sambuca breaks this disappointing trend with a very CLEAN restaurant and polite servers. I appreciate the attention that we received from our host as our reservations ensured one of the last remaining tables. Shortly thereafter, another dining room host told us the specials.... More

We had never been here before, but we definately go again. cute place. I would suggest a reservation for the weekend. We did not have one and sat in the bar, which was fine. food was very good, alittle pricey. You have to order salad extra, not included with meal. the piano player was good but not too loud so... We visit this restaurant at least once a month. The service is second to none and the food is fabulous. It is traditional Italian food. They switch up their menu nightly. They make you feel at home. Paul, the pianist is great. Benny, the owner, treats you like family.

The pasta here is very mushy and the sauce tastes like it is from a jar. We asked for al dente pasta and the waiter said it would be. It was cafeteria grade at best. The waiter never asked us how our food was, so apparently didn't care. If an Italian restaurant can't at least get the pasta right it's... More

A little awkward at first only bc when we went the place was empty and very quiet, we felt like we had to whisper. The lights were a little too dim but nice. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. We started with a delicious crusty bread and the Insalata Casa, it was a delicious... More

The food is reasonably priced and delicious. There were several daily specials from appetizer thru salad to entrée. I selected a shrimp ravioli in vodka cream sauce. OUTSTANDING. House mixed green salad with house Italian dressing. So full, no room for desert. I did view the desert tray, nothing outstanding that tempted me and the romantic atmosphere was a bit... More

Hands down, the best meal you will have in Lackawanna county. The vongole (clams) and Sambuca salad are great starters. Everything on their menu is fresh and delicious. Love their staff too!
