We go to NO every year & eat at the finest places... This little place takes the prize- top quality service and unbelievable food!!! BYoB ( next time I'll remember) We had calamari it was great! The red beans and rice were the best I've had since 1994.. Blackened shrimp very good- gumbo rocked!!! We will be back!

The food here is absolutely unbelievable! I've been to Louisiana, and the food here is just as good as what you can get there. I've yet to find anything on the menu I haven't liked!

This is a great spot, underrated only in the size of it's dining area. The menu has a good variety of Cajun/Louisiana dishes. It's pleasing to the palate and to the rest of the senses, with great smells, music, laughter and art.

The neighborhood may be a little sketchy, the storefront understated and Springfield MA may not immediately come to mind when you think of the Big Easy, but this place is the real deal. This was my second visit to the Big Mamou, and it just keeps getting better. The etouffe roux is just amazing, and we were unable to declare... More

Not a lot of places to choose from in Springfield, so we decided to take a chance with Mamou's and it was the BEST decision ever! We loved the small place that was big on people that you knew were all regular customers of Chef Wayne. We ordered the "house" Jambalaya, a dish filled with shrimp, chicken and sausage, and... More

I've always had a great meal at Big Mamou's so I'm happy some things don't change. BYOB helps keep the cost down and allows you to enjoy your favorite beverages. Super Cajun cooking!! Don't miss the bread pudding for desert. It's a small place so expect a big line, so bring a cooler and cocktail while you wait.

Look beyond the hole in the wall appearance outside. It isn't large and if you drink (we don't) bring your own. But if you appreciate the finest cajun cooking north of the big easy, you gots ta try Chef Wayne's cooking. Try anything....its all awesome. Cant say.anything.else. The food speaks for itself.

We love to go to Big Mamou's for a late lunch. There are no lines at this time. The food is so good and there is nothing like it anywhere.

I went here with a co-worker for lunch and was very, very impressed! The taste was outstanding and more than flavorful. Everything had a lot of spice, but it wasn’t too overwhelming. I would highly recommend trying Chef Wayne’s Big Mamou!

Great place, great food and atmosphere. Space is limited although is prob one among few that allow BYOB. The chef is amazing, and once felt that the fish was overdone even though I didn't notice it and brought another one that was done right. Great experience overall with friends.
