Birthday

I had not there in years. We decided to go for my birthday. If you like Cajon food you will be fine(mild or hot). Reasonable prices friendly, causal, atmosphere and BYOB.

Our appetizers (fried oysters and Crawfish Boulettes) were amazing. Entrees of Seafood Jambalaya and Big Mamou Chef Wayne were so delicious and freshly made. We shared a dessert - Classic New Orleans Bread Pudding with whiskey sauce...whoa...so good! We didn't BYOB, and the freshly made iced tea was refreshing. Thanks for good service and great food!!

A funky byob Cajun restaurant. AMAZING food. Had the frog legs which were huge and the shrimp and sausage jambalaya. Excellent flavor. The wait staff is really cool. Great time!

Food was okay, service was fine, I just think it's overrated, it's not spectacular. My friend commented alligator taste like chicken. Well why not just eat chicken?

Small. Quaint. Eclectic decor, but food is big in flavor! Down home Louisiana cuisine dine right! I know this place is a coming attraction in Springfield, definitely hope there are plans to expand. Big crowds come to Basketball Hall of Fame, this would be a flavorful and diverse addition. Had the catfish Po'Boy and fried Oysters and they were amazing

Chef Wayne's is always a good time. The food is consistently terrific, the wait staff friendly, and it is the type of place you tend to interact with strangers. It is BYOB and the seating is tight. Louisiana music is often, not always, playing. The prices are excellent.

Went for lunch and the service was very friendly and great. Started with the chicken gumbo soup and it was filled with flavor and pieces of tender chicken that melted in my mouth. For lunch I had the chicken ya ya and it was amazing. Great flavorful seasoning and complemented well with the andouille sausage served with it. Corn bread... More

found this on trip advisor while traveling and was not disappointed. They only have walk in and no reservations, but well worth the wait.We only waited 10 minutes, which I would wait longer next time if needed. It is BYOB so patrons are carrying everything from canned beer to bottled wine in to a cozy atmosphere. While waiting I was tantalized by all...
